I have a 2016 High Ball. I was on the actual Victory website and it claimed the 100-106 Engine oil kit was not a match for my bike, even though in the kit, it uses 20w-40 semi synthetic and the Oil filter part number it recommends. Does anyone know why it would say its not a match, but will sell me it individually? I am not very mechanically inclined, but would like to do my own oil changes and save some money. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kyle ( KMC performance ) used to run Spectro 20/50 semi synthetic.
Some tuners / Vic mechanics say yes to the 20/50 and some say no Slick ....stick with 20/40. Play nice.

Rotella 5 W40 works just fine and is not $60 for an oil change :ride:
I have read a few motorcycle threads around citing Rotella T6 as a good option in Vtwins. I use the Rotella15w40 T5 in my John Deere ZTR without issue and it came highly recommended

Not sure but why only 5W40 when the factory calls for 20w40 or 20w50?? Why not 15w40 Rotella?? Is the Rotella T6 better then T5?

Be gentle :D

I run the T6 & T4 mixed 50/50 so is semi sin & the closest to 20/40 in both no 5 w for me so I’m as close to factory specs as possible without any issues while always maintaining a noise free engine & Victory smooth shifts. But is me, I live n southern Ohio & my steed is always corralled n a climate controlled basement. Ain’t nuttin too good 4 my baby, she a keeper. I’m making T5 I but 4 less the cost

For the record, I am currently running the Spectro Golden 20W-40 as well. I'm on my second cycle with it and I like it. Before that I was using the Vic oil. It's the only 2 oils this bike has ever seen. So far so good!
