Not trying to start an oil filter thread just making a comment on something I found interesting. Went to get oil/filters to change in both my Hammer and Nissan Pathfinder, same filter!! The part number for both is Wix 51356. And to make it more interesting the Nissan takes 3 7/8 quarts to the Vic's 4.5.Now if onlyI could find an oil that was suitable in both....

The Victory oil filter is the same on all models of the 106/6 and is a fairly common size on a car too. I am sure the only reason I can find a K&P filter for my Vision is that they sell tons of that model for cars. No demand = no product.

Here is a good refernce... ours is in group [5]

when i did my first change after thr dealers on my preowned 13 hammer i got the wix filter, checked some numbers on the bottom inside of threaded portion a rebranded Vic filter same #'s. wix makes triumph filters as well same fitment but the shorter one as it sticks downward.

For what it is worth the Wix 51356 filter is not the same as the Polaris 2540086 oem filter that come on the 2014 CR. While they are the same size and thread configuration the internals of the filter are different. I do agree that they both look like they are manufactured by WIX.

Shouldn't the part number be 51356?

I was changing my oil and found a Polaris (Vic) filter that I forgot was there behind the stack of Wixs. I started looking at them side by side. The with the exception of a different colored bypass valve and some minor differences in the centre tube they are identical. They even have the same stamping (the number 20) on the end caps. Also they are both made in mexico (no trump jokes, save that for the political forum). I'm not the Amasing Kreskin but I'd be my bank account that the Polaris filter (that I have) is made by Wix. It's possible that Polaris has several different suppliers. What do you think?
