I have 06 pin, Ive had her just over a year and I've put about 9500 on her. Wanted to know if I put one of the 1 or 1.5 inch lowering brackets on the rear how much does this effect how she will take curves? When I got her last March was first time Ive had a bike in 20 years and this is my first victory so lot of this stuff is new to me. I live in east Tennessee so playing in the curves is a way of life and life is good. I feel like she eats curves like a fat kid eats donuts so I dont want to mess that up, but if my legs were any shorter I would be dorfs brother. If Im on any kind of slope I have to strain my nards and use tiptoes to get any pull or push power to move her. that why Im wanting to lower her a fudge. Opinions welcome and roll on!

I like the boot idea too.
Quit trying to push the bike around with your feet. Use the clutch, throttle, and brakes. The first time I rode my XR I tried to push off and the saddle bag attacked my boot. Learned quick that these aren't like small bikes and they don't need the push-off.

+1 on leaving the suspension as is.
Lower seat and bigger boots would be the best route if you want to retain the handling.
