I like the bolt. If i didn't have a little ninja 650, that would have been a good contender for a 2nd round town bike.

While I'm not sure it would have made a lot of difference, it wasn't quite fair to compare an old carbureted 883 to a new fuel injected Yamaha. The new Sporty is fuel injected and has more HP and torque due to better fuel management.
So you think the newer FI Sportster makes more HP?RhoXS said:

Well, even the new street 750 sucks the doors off the sporty at the 1/4 mile, doing the quarter in the mid 13's. The bolt runs it in about the same. The sportster I hope with the new electric bike (livewire) and the street models are out the door soon. Looks like Harley MIGHT be considering joining the rest of us in the 21st century.
An Ironhead. Sportster, Roadster, and a 1200cc Blockhead later, and I had no doubt the 950cc Yamaha would win. Did anyone think the Snortster had a chance? Kg
