Hey all , Just got my first Victory and was wondering if anybody had a solid answer on axle nut removal . I want to put my sidemount plate bracket on the rear axle . I was looking at my vegas's setup and it seems to me that as long as you dont move the adjusters the tire should stay right where it is. Looks simple , remove nut , apply bracket, replace nut and torque to 65 ft lbs. Anybody agree or disagree? Oh yeah I also have that annoying victory bearing noise that everybody complains about also . Guess thats inherent. Maybe its clutch noise because as I was slowing down around 15 mph I started to hear it and think it might have gone away when I pulled in the clutch. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!

Hi there. I am about to install a side mount bracket on my Highball and had the exactsame question and assumptions that you did in your post. Did you ever install your bracket and were your assumption correct about the axle not moving as long as you dont mess with the adjusters??
I also have the annoying bearing noise at slow speed. wish i knew if it could be corrected.
