Very high quality, only udes that on my Vrod Muscle that was tuned:cool:
Absolutely good MC oil. Has been in my son’s VTX since 2004. He tried to go cheap and use Honda Dino oil ( still good oil ) but rode 1 day and dumped it. Back in went the Mobil 1. 4t 10/40 I believe shifts like butter and that bike has a clutch in it that Victory should have had.

Let us know how it goes Slick. I run the 20w50 semi-syn as well.
Unfortunately, I won’t be using it for a little while as both bikes just had an oil change recently. One is up to 1500 miles and the other only up to 500 miles since the oil change. Was hoping you could shed some light on your experience with the 2050 ultra one plus?

I will also be switching to the Ultra 1 plus at my next change. Tractor Supply is one mile from me, shipped free to the store.
Picked mine up yesterday. Delivery was to the date and the packaging just fine. Less than $30 an oil change with real motorcycle oil and not diesel truck oil. The fact that it is only Jaso ma2 and not ma means it should grab and hold pretty.

I noticed on my last ride was very the weekend that while in 5th gear around 2300 rpm on a long stretch of straight road my gear indicator would sometimes flip to 6 while just twisting the throttle to gain speed. Not being aggressive with the throttle just a good twist. I could feel any slipping no matter how hard I tried. Yet like clockwork it would bounce to 6th then back to 5th when I reduced throttle.
Can this be a glitch n the system ? Further tests involved slight inclines in higher gears running lower rpm’s 2000 to 2500 starting with 4th and I could t duplicated it until I was on the open road again running around 50 to 60 mph.

The Ultra 1Plus semi synthetic motorcycle oil has worked fantastic for me in my Hard-Ball. I use 20W-50 in the heat of the summer and 10W-40 in the cooler months. Zero, nada, zilch, none whatsoever clutch slip.

Have had 2 oil changes with it so far and no complaints whatsoever. I’m one of those crazy nuts that does “by the book”,meaning a full 5k between changes. No indication of slip or breakdown. The 50w helps in the heat we get down here and the top end is quieter.

I already bought a 2nd case and will be using it for the foreseeable future.

Good price on that Ultra oil:cool:

I hear you about the heat and the top end, like I said earlier........I am really happy with the 15w-60 Oil from amsoil and think I am going to stick with that, the engine has never been more quiet after I changed to 60 oil, even straight 60 ore the 15w-60 Indian/Victory oil:winner:

I might be wrong, but I used Mobile 1 Racing 4T in my Victory and thought it ran hotter than any other oil I used.
Well anything is possible. I actually spoke with mobil yesterday and the 15 W 50 4T I come to find out it’s not even available in the United States. So I believe I’m going to give the 20 W 50 V-Twin a go. I spoke with another rider on an Indian forum. his bike has 78,000 on a 16 Chieftain using Mobil 1 since his 1st change at 500 break in. No issues no clutch slippage. I’m gonna give it a go and see how my bike runs on it as they say nothing ventured nothing gained. Slightest bit of clutch slippage I’ll dump it

Mike , why not try the 20/50 ultra plus full synthetic ? $5.99 a bottle and your not wasting money if you don’t like it.

I’ve actually been kicking that around also Vic definitely cheap enough. The Mobil’s running $11 which is for a high quality oil tolerable.. I researched it and it doesn’t have as a good a rating for heat and running hard for engine protection like Mobil 1 tho. You know what a fan Ive been on Redline and after some serious research this damn Mobil one matches up closest across the board

I run Redline in my SRT8. Both tranny and rear end. The motor gets Schaeffer premium synthetic. Amazing oil. Can you post your findings on the oil you researched. I’m interested in stats.

Do the Indians take full syn? For my Vision, running the U1P 20w50 semi-syn.

no stats technically a couple of articles I read.i looked up Mobil 1 vs Redline it had some good info on them. Mobil 1 heat viscosity break down pretty damn close to Redline surprisingly. And this here I came across.

All due respect ….. this says nothing. Pros are what’s on the bottle. They are bothe good oils doing pretty much the same thing. Cons are purely speculation. I’ve not tried UP1 although I own 9 bottles of 20/50 semi synthetic so I’m in the dark about its performance other than the good things said here by the good people that use it. My take on it and my future oil changes are as such …….
I want to change my oil no more than 3000 miles ( like clean oil ) it can’t be expensive otherwise it’s a waste of money. I ran Spectro well over 4K before even thinking about it. Amsoil 5k.

The oil need be good enough for that time period and if it is then a few more miles won’t be critical.

If this new oil works out then I will take advantage of the Tractor Supply pricing and by a few cases. I would think that with today’s standards for wet clutch oil that most base stock oils and additives are designed for the intended application and in this case I feel it’s critical given our puny clutches that a JASO MA2 oil specific oil need only apply.

Regarding Indian …… no clue. Im hearing of some TS owners sticking with the Indian 20/40 semi synthetic ( Vic oil ) while others have switched to the 15/60 full synthetic. PP motors get to benefit from the quality of full synthetic lubricants which would always be my choice given the right application.

Remember when it comes to Victory and stock clutch set up semisynthetic MA2 oil is best.
Pick a brand and stick with it.
