Hello all- Has anyone found a way to fix the rattle from the trunk lid as your riding, it is driving my wife crazy.

Talk to your dealer. There's an anti-rattle kit consisting of a bunch of pads which he (Or you, if you have a shop manual or can take the trumk apart on your own.) can install. The inner and outer trunk panels have to be taken apart and re-assembled. There are also a few people who have experienced this problem who have worked out their own remedies; do searches on ther Victory sites, though the factory solution is probably the best.

I suggest throwing the lid away! Mine had rattles all over it. I found the hinges rattled so put a rubber spacer in the track under the hinge area to put pressure on the latch. Then I found the speaker covers rattled so I took those off and put shims in those. Then I found the outer trim piece over the lights rattled (shims) I have about 10k on the bike now and have new rattles. I need to locate them again and fix, just have not had time lately.

I did the bumper kit, also added foam padding along the lid, and did all the home tricks people had come up with, i.e. bend the tang, add a rubber sleeve to the catch, etc. Where most of my rattling was coming from I later discovered was the rear speaker covers. They are held in place by a push pin mechanism. The centre pin backs out slightly allowing the covers to rattle. Since it is so close to the trunk the noise transfers and echoed back from the trunk. I added foam padding to the speaker covers to make more resistance for the push pin, this corrected my problem and I hope it helps you
