Over the recent Labor Day holiday I found a nail in my CCT rear Dunlop E3 MT. I plugged the tire with a Dynaplug tool and hoped for the best. A few days later the air pressure was holding fine and I rode the bike about 650 miles. The bike then sat for 2 weeks and lost over 20psi. I pumped it up for the 90 miles ride home and a few days later it was down 10psi. Since Labor Day we moved from IL to TN so I lost easy access to my most favorite Victory dealer, Randy's Cycle in Marengo, IL.
Since Thursday of this week I called about 8 Victory dealers between TN, KY and GA looking for a new Dunlop E3 MT. Only one shop had the tire in stock, Freedom Power Sports in Kennesaw, GA. Not only did they have it in stock, but their Parts Man, Harrison Carnicon gave me the best price too. The Dunlop was fresh, in stock and $219. Plus they only charged me $50 for the R&R.
I rode the 105 miles to Kennesaw, GA today. Their very personable service writer, Lee got me checked in quickly. She really know's her stuff and is a hoot to talk to. The technician on hand today was Michael Bennet. He was also a joy to work with and obviously knows his way around a Victory CCT. He did the R&R quickly and thouroughly. I've read about the technique Michael used but watching it first hand was a real treat. He put the bike up on the lift table, locked in the front wheel, tied it down then raised up the rear of the bike. By removing the rear shock link bolts and the axle, he was able to raise the bike up, lower the rear section of the lift and the rear wheel simply rolled out. He also used a torque wrench to ensure things were torqued correctly on assembly.
If you need great service, at great prices from a great team, look no further than Freedom Power Sports in Kennesaw, GA, 770-974-6000.
