Does anyone know what all of the extra connectors are for in the Magnum fairing? I marked up the first pic so you can see where the close up pics are at. They are numbered so it will make it easier to identify which ones you are replying to. Thanks!

Close up of 1 - 4 There is also a round one tucked behind these.

Here is the round one.

Victory uses the same wiring harness for most models. So those connections are for items that are not on your model bike.

There may be some similarities, but this is definitely NOT the same wiring harness that the XC or XCT has. I realize the empty plugs are for options the bike didn't come with. I'm trying to figure out what those option are and what each plug is for incase I want to add those options to my bike. If not, then I could use the wiring for other accessories I do want. I just want to find out what each one is for before I change anything.

If anyone knows what these connectors are for, please post.

As an alternative, does anyone have a copy of the Magnum fairing schematic?

I need to know specifically which plug is for which options. I have been thru all 11 pages of the Magnum section, looked thru every thread that had anything to do with opening the front fairing, tried doing some searches using the sites search engine (what a POS!!!), gave up on that and did a lot of google searches, even looked around on the other forum a bit, and still can't find any info or a schematic for the Magnum. Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe your local dealer parts counter guy can look up the schematic for you and swivel the screen around so you can see it? That's what I'd try if no luck with da Groogle.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

Ok here is what I have come up with so far.

1- single black wire - Handwarmer ground
2- blue with pink tracer - Handwarmer power
3- 2 wire connector with black and yellow (possibly pink tracer?) - HID harness connector (POS Light in diagram)

4 - Need wire color
5 - Tachometer

6- HID Ballast

Hope you can see in the pics what I am referencing and if you can get me the color of the single wire weatherpack connector I should be able to trace that one as well.

To confirm. I bought the Victory heated grips and the directions had me use the black and blue/pink wire (in the first close up picture) to wire them.

Thanks for posting all of this!!! Sorry for the delayed reply. Had a busy week at work and wanted to wait and get the correct info for you when I started working on it again.
3 - Yes, it has a pink tracer. One thing I notice tho, #3, #6, and one of the connections for my LED headlight all have a black and a yellow with pink tracer. Why would there be 3 plugs for the same circuit?
4 - The round plug with green weather seal has a single purple wire with a black tracer.
5 - Why would there be an unused plug for the tach if I have a tach on my bike that functions without that connection?

one may be an extra accessory plug. But on mine they are all labelled in the headlight bucket. Yours are not?

The only ones that are labeled in mine are the ones that are in use. None of the extras are labeled.

You are welcome. I am going to through out some theories here. The headlight may have several circuits because whether you have led, hid or halogen headlights each take a different input voltage to start. For example HID although a high voltage unit only take ls a small amount of voltage to energize the HID ballast. Therefore the demand onbthe circuit may he high initially but in the long run relatively low. Whereas halogen requires a realitivly high voltage all the time.

The seperate tach connector has a cap on it which usually means it is a diagnostic port and I believe is used by the dealer to upgrade the audio and display system. I can research this more.

I will get back to you on the single weatherpack connector.

Might I suggest that you get a copy of the factory service manual? It will put ALL the info you seek at your own fingertips. This will undoubtably prove much easier than trying to accomplish diagnostics through a forum thread, as well as give you invaluable help when attempting future projects. JMHO

I haven't been able to find one that includes Magnum. the most recent one I have found was for 2013 XC / XCT. If you have a good link to one that include Magnum, post it up. I'm not looking for free one necessarily. I don't mind buying one if I could find one!
