So I am putting in a new clutch in the Victory cc and I'm using an Alto. Got 9 friction plates and 9 slippers. So anyway the bike actually has 10 one odd ball one and then 9 regular ones. Can anyone answer as me as to, do I put the odd ball back in? Seems weird because it seems like all friction discs would have been replaced. Help please got her pulled apart.

Ya may not like this now that ya have it a part but... others who have used the Alto plates tossed the Judder plate, spring, and disk to replace it with 'other Alto friction plate and 2 disks. This was covered in 'other thread...

At post #17, BrandonM17 states:

...I'm hoping they'll just send me one more friction plate to replace it, because judder springs don't do anything but coddle folks that can't stand a little rattle/squeal every now and then. I'd rather have a normal friction plate there anyway, assuming the thickness is the same.

They responded to my email this morning. I told them in my initial message that I'd rather just put a regular clutch plate in place of the unique one if they intended for me to re-use the original (since my original is really old,) so he's sending me a couple of regular friction plates to use. I'm digging these people so far.

(the 'They' Bran's mentioning is Alto).

Received three extra plates and the business card of the technical director today to complete the pack without having to re-use the odd plate and judder spring assembly.

So, accordin' to Bran, you'll need to toss the lower plates ('cuz they're used to keep pressure on the basket during separation--i.e., disengagement) n' fill 'em in with more Alto parts. The good news Bran got the parts for free for just askin'.

Hope this helps... I know what it's like to be right in the middle of doin' a clutch 'n findin' out things aren't goin' yer way.

G'Luck….
