Yes you may need to warm up a credit card, but 1200-1500 will easily get you intake-exhaust-fuel tuner and net you close to 20 more horsepower. I guarantee you will like it once you have it.

Agreed. Do it right the first time and you'll save money in the long run. Don't just go with those cheap, bad looking shorty pipes from Amazon. If you want that ballsy sound and keep great performance, I highly suggest spending the money on the Ground Pounders. There are tons of dyno charts that prove they put out strong numbers. I haven't gotten my bike tuned yet to be able to give numbers on mine, but if you're interested give me a shout!

as noted look for gently used, be aware those short + loud pipes generally cut low end power, good thing Vics have plenty!!

Agreed mostly, however, Ground Pounders have an hourglass baffle to prevent that loss of power.
