Sunday, July 27 at 5:45 PM central time. I suppose it wiill be on their website.
Not a problem 2 year warranty. first major service at 17KGood_Steward said:I am sure I will be able to see all the rear tire when the repair shop has it off for some 2 week fix or another. Have fun with those loaners. I'll still be on the Vic.
Well, if you're ok with letting it sit just because it's under warranty, good for you. I bought my bike to ride, and I'm sure you likely won't ever see that first major 17k mile service on the Duc. You have your choice, so you should probably take your Vic **** talking to the Duc site. I am sure they have a forum tab on some Duc mechanic's website.CrazyDiavelRider said:Not a problem 2 year warranty. first major service at 17K
What sit? I put over 2300 in the first month.. My bikes are not garage babes they ride hard and fast This forum is for all Riders, Guess you cant read. But you are barking up the wrong tree but keep it up for all to see the moron you are exposing yourself to be.Good_Steward said:Well, if you're ok with letting it sit just because it's under warranty, good for you. Agreed. No matter what Vic does, you'll have assholes that don't even own the line, or intentions of buying one, complaining about it.Bone said:Bunch of complainers...sorry I know a lot that have read this are thinking the same thing. I'm just looking for improvements to the current models and for one am excited about it.
Really can't get away from the unhappy people in the world on the internet though...even if Vic came through with some awesome new state of the art models, people would complain about bike x and y being continued....or working feverishly to find something to complain about on the new models.
I am actually impressed! Not that you rode 2,300 miles in a month (I did over 3,000 in 5 days just two weeks ago...on a Vic) but at the fact that you didn't have to have a service visit in that time for some sort of repair. It ain't me making up some fiction about the Duc unreliability, but a pretty well documented fact. So, complain all you want about Vic, but I don't see as how you have a horse in the race.CrazyDiavelRider said:What sit? I put over 2300 in the first month.. I own a Cross Roads now and love it, but really want the XC. I'm not a chrome whore either, matter of fact I covered as much chrome as i could with plati dip lol. Hate to see the XR go, but understand. And I completely agree with you about Vic going out and handling these damn dealers. Alot of them suck. I only have one that I will deal with right now. Even they aren't the most competent people, but at least they are friendly and not a bunch of aholes.poptop said:I call it refineing the lineup! Well except for the dump on the CR, that I kinda liked ! Not everyone wants to be Chrome whore and the CR to me in the 8 ball model still had some class!
I don, t think thinning out the carboard replicas was a bad idea at all, and along with others it seems to me like Victory is maturing as it goes forward!
My real hope is Victory hires someone with a big stick to go out and wapp some asses of some of there dog a$$ dealers , now I would love to see that investment , an investment into costomer service!
I had the cruise and radio control covers chromed but don't have any backlit switches. Don't need them because our evenings are lit long and I go to bed early!bikerdeano said:I hope you know I mean Pig as in Hog as in HD, right?
We went to a Pig Roast tonight... I've got Pig on the brain for some reason.
You went to some great expense to chrome your pods... I wished our bikes came with chrome and back-lit pods.
I did have it in the shop for the first service at 1K. Yup know about the history and expense on Dukes. The price one may have to pay for performance. The documentation on the 13 Diavel is minimal your point on documentation is not supported. I realized that when no matter how Much work I had done on my XR and XC the power was lacking. It did how ever ride better smoother and trouble free after I shelled out the extra money for Cams,Lloydz intake PCV timing wheel D&D and a tune. I thought and many will agree with me this is the way it should have been from the factory.Good_Steward said:I am actually impressed! So, your demand for "better" was to call a bike "the bummer"? I do not disagree that these bikes would be better served coming from the factory with certain upgrades. However, look at the competition in the cruiser and touring markets. Obviously, the Diavel is a 180 from these lines in styling and performance. However, so are the FJR and the Concours, with both boasting better performance than the Diavel, as does the Vmax in the "power cruiser" segment, which turns in 10.5 second quarter mile to the Diavel's 10.7 -10.9. I guess that I am asking that folks be more proactive in getting things changed through input to dealers and factory (ala Rushmore from HD, even though it was more infotainment, it was from HOG member input) rather than just slandering the offerings put out there.CrazyDiavelRider said:I did have it in the shop for the first service at 1K. Its those who dare to voice there opinions and demand for improvement that will keep the process going. I do not complain I demand better.
When they come out with a cruiser with more stock performance I will be there. I want Victory to kick a$$..AKA CrazyDiavelRiderTroll.
So that's what this is really about I called it a bummer? Playing on the gunner? Dude I almost fell over laughing. I did not purchase the Diavel to compete with the Victory no how no way, I have always had 2 bikes a sports bike and cruiser. I tried those other muscle bikes you mentioned all worthy. FJR and Concourse to tall for me. Vmax horrid road manners its a drag bike.I wasn't after the most powerful just a cruiser style with sports bike handling and good power. My final 2 choices were The Rocket III and Diavel. The styling of the Diavel won out even though the Rocket blisters the Diavel in Tq.Good_Steward said:So, your demand for "better" was to call a bike "the bummer"? Within a few hours...you'll understand how true this statement will be.kltk1 said:Victory accessories aren't known for being inexpensive. And I hope you're right and come out with lots of new accessories. I much prefer purchasing accessories from the manufacturer. Simply because they bolt right up.
I think you are confusing reliability with service intervals. While my Duc was my main bike I never it never let me down. The wife had one too, also without any issues. Its true that thhe older bikes required relatively expensive service, fairly frequently, but that has changed significantly over the last few years.Good_Steward said:...You can keep that unreliable hunk of sh%t Duc. Have fun riding loaners, dickhead.
From my perspective its over. Now we wait.kltk1 said:Wheezer and Crazy, can you guys please take your argument to another forum, or preferably PM? What you're discussing doesn't have much to do with the 2015 Victory models. Thanks.
They have just released the Slingshot so hopefully the rest will follow.lykoi626 said:Anyone confirm that there will be an announcement today? I know the dealer meeting is today but that doesnt say much more than they will be told if there are new rebates for fall and what the plans are...not an announcement to the general public.
