Never thought of that?? I just picked mine up 2x

Ouch!!!! I think I will just pick it up the right way. I even tried picking it up like Mike does from Arizona Victory in this video.
It is really as easy as it looks. Surprised the hell out of me.

Riding it up may be something needed to move quick if needed. It is nice that the bike will do it but I hope I never need to.

Warning do not pick up Vision while facing it using the passenger grab handles. The passenger handles are mounted to an aluminum plate that will crack because it can not handle the full weight of the bike. Ma Vic will not replace a cracked plate. I know from experience

Does facing away and picking it up the correct way not do the same thing, seems like it would? Doesn't seem to well planned out. How do they want you to pick it up?

I'm not a Vision owner, but it seems to me that picking it up while facing it is, literally picking it up. A lot of stress on those grab rails. By facing away you are putting your butt against the saddle and pushing backwards, force of your weight and strength of your legs pushing the bike back up instead of lifting.

Good God Rollin ..... I'm not certain I would take my quad on that trail .....let alone a 800 lb touring bike !!!

Much respect !!

That makes sense. I only picked it up once just as a test because I didn't think it would be as easy as it appeared in the video. I need to try using the proper technique too just to see if this is true. She hasn't been down so I never really gave it much thought.

Trekwolf164, How many times did you pick it up before you noticed the damage?

Wonder how hard it is to pick up the xc? Have the hard lowers and the saddle bag bars. Have not had to do this yet but will happen sooner or later.
Pretty easy really. Same process as the video.

I was an early adopter of the 2008 Vision I read the owners manual prior to getting my bike from my dealer Polaris Victory and Triumph Locomotion Powersports Suffern NY 845 357-1190 .I will say there is not one word about how to lift the bike. I demonstrated the tip overs often I would face her grab the handle bar and passenger grabs and haul her up. Donna was the one to ask me why the drivers side handle was loose ? I brought DeerCrusher to the dealer and after she was inspected the cracked plate was discovered. Polaris was contacted and the response was the bike was lifted incorrectly .The Dealer and I both agreed there is no info on how to or not right the Vision. Anthony repaired my bike and said he got this one but from now on you are on your own if it breaks again. The NY Victory area rep said butt on saddle legs pushing is the correct method. I have done it that way since and have not broken another plate.

I have laid mine on the tipovers several times just for better access when I wanted to work on one side or the other. I never had any trouble picking it back up but I do not just use the passenger handles. I grip the bars and the passenger handles then back up into it. It stands right up with no damage at all.

I believe my 2013 has a sensor on the fron tip-over's that cuts power to the fuel pump...pretty sure this wouldn't work on mine...
They all have a fuel cut off if you lay it down hard just like many other vehicles now days have if you start to spin. In the video I don't think he is laying it over hard enough to trip it.

Glad I read this thread, I only dumped mine once in the garage and I picked it up using the grab handles and facing it. I will not do that again. Hopefully I will not need to, but if I do I now know better.

That is a 13, I am not sure how the sensors work both my 08 and the 13 have quit when on their tipovers. I have hit them hard and laid them over easy, you just never know if he sensor will trip. They certainly don't do it every time, in fact they rarely do, for me at least.

If someone knows where the sensor is at and if it possible to unhook I would like to know.
