Thanks for that. Looks like I should anticipate needing to purchase and replace the fuel filter and rear shock. I'm gonna assume i can do those myself.
Removing the tank is best if done as a two man job.
Now that I have a chance to think about it, if the bike has replaced belt, fuel filter, clutch cable, had a fork and rear shock rebuild replace, brakes, plugs it wouldn't matter how many miles it has on it. My 2011 has only broke a clutch cable, and had the plugs and forks done. It's on 72,000 miles. Before I started changing my oil myself, I took it to a Yamaha dealer who had a $35 oil change special. ( I shudder now to think about it.)
Anyway, I agree with a prior post. Start it up cold and listen to how it wakes up. That will tell you most of what you need to know.
