Got a dilema going on with my '13 Vision. It's just not quite running right and is very lean right now. It's got Victory's Stage 1 flash, performance filter and Stage1/Level 2 exhaust. The lean issues just need to be fixed as its driving me nutts. I've done some research and have come up with two options that I'm considering.
Option #1 would be to purchase a the Lloyds Victory Fuel Controler 3 (VFC3) with Lloyds Top Filter and the IAC. This option looks like it'll cost about 450 bucks. I'd install everything myself, save some moola on labor, and learn how to tune it. That really apeals to me.
Option #2 would be to purchase a PC-V, have it installed, and have the bike dyno tuned. I think I'd still like to have the Lloyds top filter added here too, but it's another 100 bucks on top of the $750 for the PCV with install and tuning. Depending on who you talk to the PC-V is the prefered tuner by many shops, allows the tuner to add OR REMOVE fuel, and simply has more adjustability than any other fuel controler. Having to spend twice the cash of the Lloyds VFC option isn't sitting too well in my brain, but if it's really 2-times better than maybe it's the way to go???
I only want to buy this stuff once and I want everything done right the first time around. I'd hate to go with one option only to find that I've got to do something over or add something again to get it "just right". The Vision is an awesome bike, handles like a dream, has good power, but the excessively lean running of it is killing some of the thrill. Fix the lean issues and I doubt I'll have anything to complain about... maybe...
So, what do the tuning guys say? Which option is really gonna give me the bang for the buck?
