Did the Freedom motor swap on my 2000 sc for a 03 vegas motor. I noticed that the oil cooler is much smaller on the Freedom V92's, and I am using the original big one. I was wondering if there was any reason why I should get an oil cooler that goes with my "new" motor?

You’re OK with the big cooler & to go with the smaller ‘03 style cooler would require new mounts & plumbing. The only reason to change would be the fact that the original set up did too good of a job cooling and at times would not let the heads, that have an oil cooling sleeve around the cylinders, come up to optimum performance temperature. A piece of cardboard over the cooler could be an option on cold days.

thanks for the info. I was wondering why they changed the size. I will try the cardboard out, until it warms up around here in the spring.

They've downsized the oil coolers twice since the beginning. In 02 when they came out with the Freedom motors and again in 08. I guess the oil coolers were just too efficient. Being in AZ I wouldn't think that would be much of an issue tho.
