Howdy. I'm currently on a Yamaha VStar 1300 Tourer and want to upgrade.

A dealer in the area has a 2012 Cross Country Tour with about 32,200 miles. It has the heated seat & grips, and new tires. They describe it as very well cared for and maintained.

If it has been well maintained, is the mileage a non-issue?

Also, their price is $14,499. Is that reasonable?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't say the miles are an issue but I do think you could get a bike with less miles for the same money.

KBB has it for retail at $14,810 for a bike with 19715 miles on it.

I think they would have to do better on that one.

I bought a 2013 CCT in Dec 2013 new for 18,499. I know I got a great deal, but sometimes if you look around you can find a great deal.
I have around 27,000 miles on my bike and have had no mechanical issues at all. There are lots of guys well over 50,000 on their bikes on here as well.
I used to have a Yamaha V Star as well and the ride is definitely an upgrade.

Once you buy one, I'm sure you will love it as any maintenance you have to do is pretty easy as well.

As much as I hate to say,,,,to much for a stock bike. Have seen XCT's with performance upgrade with comfort as well for less. Need more information.

I agree, its not a bad deal but I think you can do better if you search. When I was looking I found several in the $13K price range this spring.

Similar to Kaskae I got my new 2015 XC Magnum this year as a carry over with no miles for 17,900+tax. It was by far the best deal I saw in the area though. I had to jump on it quick. It doesn't have the trunk that the tour has though and wish I did for traveling but I know I would rarely use it.

I bought a mint '12 XCTour 12,500 miles for 11,800 from a large dealership. It had about $3000 in custom engine and chrome add ons.
They have a new 2015 Cross Country for 16,599 here in Ms.

I have a 2012 CCT that I bought new in the Summer of 2013. It's been an awesome motorcycle for nearly 40K miles and still going strong/ Everyone wants to find a good deal. But in the end, it's a great motorcycle. Pay what you're comfortable paying for it.

IMHO, the 2012's and the best CCT's because of the factory HID headlight. I can find no reason to buy a new 2016 or 2017 CCT since they're the same motorcycle. Except that the 2017 CCT comes with the LED headlight. The 2013 through 2016 CCT's came with a standard headlight. Seems Victory has a thing for headlights.

Also, 32K miles is nothing. These bikes are good for many times more than that without needing much more than oil and filter changes. I'd rather have a ridden bike than a garage queen.

Is the bike worth what they're asking? Mechanically etc yes.. the milage wouldn't make me blink an eye, unless of course the belt needs replacing soon or something.. but like others have said it's a little high for market comparatively speaking. It's not a 'bad' deal, but you can find better unless that bike is just 'it' for you. If you buy something and YOU are happy with what you paid for what you got, then it's a good deal. :)

BRo hawk that is a bit too high. Now I too ride a v star 1300 and a 2013 stock XCT with 16K miles I bought from a Polaris dealer in Nashville Illinois he had priced at 11K.He has very same bike now in red for 14K.I guess it is higher for summer.XCT is a great bike but keep V 13 if you can because when it is 90 degrees you will really miss it.

I saw this....a 2012 with only 6048 miles. It has a Corbin seat and trunk rack. Asking $13,500. Offer $13,000.
2012 Victory Cross Country TOUR, Eden Prairie MN - - Cycletrader.com
Call Keyboard Trucking and see what their shipping rate is. They delivered my bike in perfect condition.

It'll still be less than the bike you found.

I have no affiliation with either.

I had a Roadstar before my CCT. Rode the CCT for 2 months and got back on the Roadstar - Ugh. It couldn't turn anywhere near as easy. It would also drag parts far sooner in turns.
