I have to give Fox News credit for running this opinion. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/10/14/understanding-occupy-wall-street/

It's funny how you keep going back to an Administration that has not existed for 3 years. Who cares. That's like the kid that protests and says "But, they're all doing it." Holder owns this policy. A U.S. Border Patrol Officer was gunned down. Over 2,000 guns were illegally sold on his watch. On top of that, while investigating the Fast and Furious program - the Attorney General perjured himself to the House Judiciary Committee. Before you have a knee jerk reaction and deflect - stop & think about the subpoena that has been issued, the memo's (at least 5) that were sent to Holder - briefing him months before he said he ever knew anything about it, and, the Special Prosecutor that is being discussed. This is just the tip of the iceberg - it is unravelling. There is a lot of information that will come out & it just takes one witness to shed light on a briefing he sat in on with Eric Holder where Fast and Furious was discussed.
It's worse than that. There is a March one-on-one interview with the President, where he (Obama) was asked about Fast and Furious. The President says plainly the he has had a conversation with The Attorney General about the matter. Now it's hard to have a conversation with someone who knows nothing about the subject at hand. If he didn't know BEFORE the President brought it up, he certainly did AFTER the President brought it to his attention. Now remember, this is a MARCH interview. Holder didn't appear before Congress until the begining of May. Mayberry

clif02 wrote; Bigfoot stated that it has been 300 days since Republicans took control of the House and asked where the jobs are. Considering Democrats have been in control of Congress for the last few years and the White House for the last 2 plus years that same question should be asked...where are the jobs Democrats? Why is unemployment higher now than 3 years ago? Why is our debt more than 3 years ago? The first question I will answer is, "Why is unemployment higher now than 3 years ago?" Answer; It is higher because slightly more than 150,000 people enter the job market every month. That's 1.8 million new people seeking jobs per year. If you had 10% unemployment, and you created 1.8 million jobs in one year, you would still have 10% unemployment at the end of the year. I've posted the link to the "Bikini Chart" several times on this forum showing how President Obama has turned this country around from losing 700,000 jobs per month to a net gain in jobs. That's why we have come down from unemployment numbers in excess of 10% down to 9%. Our present House of Representatives has spent over 300 days trying to pass anti-abortion bills and anti-EPA bills. These are simply hot button issues to distract the population from the real issues. Our higher debt? With the exception of 2 years under President Clinton, we as a nation under many Presidents of both party's have increased our debt year after year after year. Remember when Vice President Cheney stated, "deficits don't matter"? Were you all "up in arms" over that crazy statement? Were you upset when in the first 4 years of the Bush/Cheney government they created ZERO jobs? Were you upset that they only created 1.2 million jobs in 8 years? President Obama has created almost twice that amount since the recession bottomed out.

Bigfoot, You are an admirable man. You stick to your guns no matter what. The fact is Obama has done a terrible job at just about every aspect of his job and his fellow Democrats in Congress haven't been much help. Repubs haven't been any better. Obama has saved nothing and done tons of damage. I have purposely been avoiding these threads because they are kinda upsetting. I get upset when I see my tax dollars being wasted. I get upset when I see our country declining. I get upset when 47% don't pay their fair share. It is upsetting to see money wasted on social programs that are supposed to bridge hard times and be a hand up but end up being a hand out for life and a perceived entitleent. It bothers me to see folks dressed to the nines, hair all fancied up, tons of bling yacking on a cell phone and paying for food with food stamps. Alot of things upset me. Illegal immigration upsets me. The suggestion of re-distribution of wealth bothers me as it suggests folks can take without earning. Bailouts, Solyndra, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank nd Tom Coburn uset me. Socialism and non emergency abortion bother me as does the EPA.... It all bothers me..especially weak kneed liberals..

This is my nomination for The VOG Political Post Of The Year. Very well said.

clif02 You would be upset when my Mother spends her $27 worth of food stamps each month. She dresses real nice. (Clothes that her children purchased for her) My sister (lawyer), bought her the car she drove to the store, I pay for her hair and nail styling, my other sister picks up the tab for her cell phone, and all of her kids bought whatever jewelry she would be wearing. (Diamonds and pearls) My 78 year old Mother lives in a church owned apartment that costs $400/month. She receives slightly more than $600 a month from Social Security. That is her total income. Appearances can be deceiving.

Yes Bigfoot, appearances can be deceiving. If anyone should be taken care of it is our families and our seniors. Fact is we do the same thing for my mother in law (who is 80) but you manage to twist every conversation so let me add to it...how about a mid 20's dressed up...and all that. I guess her family could be taking care of her..but if they are why would she be on food stamps? I suppose you'll have some clever response to that but save your time and energy because you're wasting time. Have a great day.

Shawn - This is going to be a very interesting "show" as the facts are revealed. Watch Holder obstruct & stall every step of the way. Issa will have to subpoena, scratch & pull teeth to get to the bottom of it. Transparency? Joke! Forthcoming? Ha-ha-ha!

I started to write a lot then thought better on it. Obama will shed this guy like yesterdays socks if it gets traction. A year from now it will be a talking point at best. The economy will be his undoing along with his moderate base for GITMO and more war. We forget there are a lot of the middle left that voted for the closing of GITMO and out of Iraq. They will just not go to the polls. Around 2/3 of Iraq and Afghanistan vets say it was not worth going there. Makes you want to cry if you think that Brian Terry's family gets to see this gross incompetence make their loved one nothing more than a talking point for political gain. It should serve as a reminder that these folks in office regardless of the party get lots of people buried from their conduct and decision making. I wonder how many innocent Mexicans have been slaughtered with those guns.

It just proves the point - Obama talks out both sides of his mouth. He attacks bankers, Wall St. and Finaciers - endlessly. But, count on Obama to stick his hand out & say - "Ok, now I'll take your money. I really need it to get re-elected. Don't mind what I say - it's just campaign talk." "At least 41 people have raised at least half a million dollars for the president, compared to 27 in Obama's first report, according to an analysis of campaign data released Friday. The big donors, known as "bundlers," are typically well-connected people who pledge to gather tens of thousands of dollars for a candidate. Former Goldman Sachs executive Jon Corzine and Dreamworks Animation chief executive executive Jeffrey Katzenberg are on Obama's elite list and raised $500,000 or more."

Karl Rove's "SuperPac" is 92% funded by 3 people.

Obama voluntarily releases a list of bundlers. No other major candidate has done so.

Rasmussen Reports - "New Low: 32% Support Obama's Decision To Take Military Action in Libya" Friday, October 14, 2011 As fighting drags on in Libya, support for U.S. military action there and confidence that a change of government in the North African country will be good for the United States have fallen to new lows.

Obama is very transparent - "Obama administration appeals ruling on White House visitor logs The Obama administration is appealing a judge's ruling that Secret Service records of visitors to the White House complex are subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. The Justice Department filed a formal notice of appeal Friday afternoon regarding U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell's August ruling rejecting arguments that the so-called WAVES records belong to the White House even though they are maintained and used by the Secret Service. The decision to appeal the ruling to the D.C. Circuit would appear to be in tension with Obama's repeated pledges to operate the most transparent administration in history. The White House announced in Sept. 2009 that it was voluntarily releasing the names of most White House visitors from Sept. 15 forward. However, the conservative group Judicial Watch sought information on visits before that date."
