Send your money to Republican Presidential candidate Buddy Roemer. He only accepts donations of $100 or less. This keeps the Plutocrats and Aristocrats out of influence in his campaign. It also assures the Plutocrats and Aristocrats that Buddy will never get on the debate stage. http://www.buddyroemer.com/

I just wonder if the OWS folks realize they are protesting against their own? Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Coburn and so on...being owned by Special Interest groups isn't party specific. I've been reading where Nancy Pelosi and family have done very, very well in the economic dowturn and are better off than ever. I'd dare say that aplies to many in electd office today in DC... The 99% is so in name only.

From the videos and interviews I have watched they don't seem to have a coherent message except they want. Seems they want alot for nothing..free college etc. They all seem pretty nasty and belligerent as well.. No one I know really likes what has happened in the last few years but I don't know anyone that is willing to throw their support behind OWS.

OWS is against our government being sold to the highest bidder. Plutocracy The Citizen United Supreme Court decision was the final straw that broke the middle classes back. Allowing SuperPacs unlimited spending in elections is crazy. This guarantees the rich control elections and governments, national and local. Plutocracy. The first Republican Presidential Candidate to endorse the Occupywallstreet movement was Gov. Buddy Roemer. His announcement that he was going to join the Occupywallstreet protesers seemed to some 'expert political observers' on the Right to be nothing less than political suicide. Here's how Roemer announced his plans for this week on Twitter: I am concerned and outraged, as are many, at Wall Street greed. I will be joining Occupy Wall Street NYC Tuesday to see it firsthand. My decision to join Occupy Wall Street is to put an end to OWS bashing by fellow GOP candidates. I want to hear the stories of protestors. It's about time Americans rose up against institutional corruption. I want to stand by them. Wall Street must be held accountable. I'm a Harvard economist and biz school grad. I have never seen our economy or political system this broken or corrupt. Enough is enough.

Bigfoot- please notice that I said no one that I know would throw their support behind OWS. That is people I know and associate with on a daily basis. I guess the reason is both the mass media and the OWS people themselves haven't represented themselves very well. Their message has been compromised and convoluted by their own personal greed if you will by what they feel is owed to them. I'm not making this up. Watch most of the videos coming out. The interviews are really pretty poor and many can't even clearly define why they are there, what they stand for or what it is they are protesting. The core organizers may have had a defined goal but it isn't working out very well. What is coming through is personal greed on par with the DC bunch, a sense of entitlement, I want something for nothing and really generally poor attitudes and behavior. Not a great way to win the majority of the true 99% to your cause.

If you think that OWS is beholding to the Democratic Party, you are sorely mistaken. They are adamant that they won't be like the TEA party is to the republican party. Don't believe me, watch this (notice the Impeach Obama signs);

From what I can see the OWS will be beholding to whoever can give them the most with the least effort on their part. That is how it appears. Like I said the message has been blurred and corrupted. I am not a member of the TEA party so I don't have a dog in the fight there if you are searching for an argument. At this time OWS isn't gaining ground with the true 99% or the 53%.. And having big dog millionaire celebs showing up only adds more absurdity to it all...hell they should be protesting Hollywood and pro sports as well. They are at the top of the lists in influence buying and peddling. That said...its all I will say...

The following is an observation from a long time bud tht is a Microsoft Computer Engineer. Maybe it's just the folks I know but this is an excellent example of how they (OWS) are viewed among people I know. I guess all these people who hate capitalism don't need a job. Must be nice!! (sent from Shanghai, China, where the Communists are doing a great job at capitalism!)

An interesting point was raised concerning Cain's 999 plan. A person who presently has $1,000,000 in the bank would, on the day this passed, have an instant tax on that money of 9% as soon as they tried to spend it.
And, if you only have $1,000 in the bank and make a purchase, that person will have to pay the tax as well. It's the great equalizer...everyone pays. Even undocumented workers or workers who are being paid under the table will be contributing to our economy with a fair sales tax. While I'm sure this 9-9-9 plan will evolve and some modifications will be made, it seems to be an acceptable plan as it eliminates the IRS and will make it easier for everyone, no matter how much they make, to contribute to our economy.

Just four years ago, wasn't that the same line that Mr. Obama was saying. Wasn't he telling us that his average donation was less than $100? In reality, he ended up spending nearly $1B (yes Billion $) getting elected. Simple math will tell you that the vast majority of those funds came from special interest groups and large corporations. Remember, we're dealing with Politicians who tailor speeches to say what that specific audiences want to hear. On a related note, do you think the OWS groups should be demonstrating against this super rich NBA team owners? How dare they attempt to make a profit from those poor, deprived basketball players! P.S. Mr. Bigfoot, you should really try to use this site's quote and multi quote system. It's quite easy to use! If you can't figure it out, PM me and I'll be happy to help.

Here's a quote for you, guess who said it. " I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war."

Biggie, I think NorCal was being serious. You are the one person who doesn't use the quote system and it is almost impossible to follow some of your posts at times. You would think that after you made such a big deal about other poster's incorrect use of the word Loose/Lose, and your being a stickler for the correct use of proper syntax, you would think you may try and jump on board. I'll tell you what, I if you start using the quote system, I'll stop putting 6 ??????'s at the end of my sentences. Deal? :)

I think the definition below nails our situation down pretty well. Well, off to work. have a great day. Ineptocracy-(in-ept-oc-ra-cy) A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

+1 Bingo! When the majority becomes a coalition non-producing "me-me-me" kind of folks - openly hostile to the producers - the downard glide path has been set. The ugly end is predictable. It's not a matter of "if." It's a matter of "when." Biggie should re-evaluate his support for this angry, bigoted, non-productive crowd. But that won't happen.

We need another major land mass to start a new country.....maybe Canada has some land they aren't using. :)

America is great and powerful because of a few specific items. 1. The USA is a powerful Economic engine. Since WWII #1 in the world. 2. With the most powerful Economy we have built the #1 Military in the world. 3. With the 1-2 punch of the world's most powerful economic engine & the most powerful military we becamecame respected & feared, world wide, and increased in Political influence. 4. If we decline Economically - we decline militarily, and we decline in Political influence. 5. The Obama Administration is not business friendly. American business has been under direct assault by this administration. American business is "the villain" of the "liberal left." The oil indistry is vilified, the coal industry attacked, and the financial industry excoriated. 6. All successful people are attacked & derided consistently by Obama as he tries to rescue a failed presidency & appeal to the masses. 7. Like it or not, admit it or not, Obama's anti-buiness, anti-success rhetoric is contributing directly to the decline of American promince, influence and excellence. Of note - this is from the guy that set records in campaign money taken from Wall St. 3 years ago. Hypocritical? Wall St. thinks so. Their campaign contributions to Obama are way down. 8. Instead of standing by and helping American business succeed - Obama supports a rabble of malcontents illegally camped out on public and private property - whining & feeling sorry for themselves. Obama has reduced himself and the presidency to be their cheerleader. It is pathetic.

You mean the kind of corruption that Obama is involved in? "Obama's Solyndra scandal reeks of the Chicago Way" Those of us from Chicago know exactly what the Solyndra scandal smells like. And It doesn't smell fresh and green "The Solyndra scandal cost at least a half-billion public dollars. It is plaguing President Barack Obama. And it's being billed as a Washington story. But back in Obama's political hometown, those of us familiar with the Chicago Way can see something else in Solyndra - something that the Washington crowd calls "optics." In fact, it's not just a Washington saga - it has all the elements of a Chicago City Hall story, except with more zeros."

OWS is circulating a petition with over 600,000 signatures asking that all student loan debt be forgiven. Now to me they are asking for the same treatment they are protesting against...a bailout. OWS is not the 99% by any stretch of the imagination. They are self centered, spoiled, immature, self promoting lobbyist. Heey OWS, YOU made the debt so have the intestinal fortitude to pay it off. No more bailouts remember?

Well, last night I think I watched my governor implode. It looked like every time he went for Mitt Romney it ended very badly. Accusing him of hiring illegals and calling him the #1 problem because of it was really bizarre. The guy hired a lawn company that hired illegals. In Texas the exception would be a lawn company that has a legal working for it. Such a transparent hit tactic he got booed big for it. Not Presidential at all. Santorum and Bachmann came off as nice people but just are not getting it done. They don't answer questions but drift into talking points. My prediction for the next set of polls will be: Romney Cain Paul Perry Gingrich Newt continues to come off as a very reasonable voice and keeps hanging in there. Makes me wonder if he may pull off a McCain type move as this wears on.
