OK folks, I'm looking at purchasing a new to me 2010 Vision. But it's the 8Ball model. So can I install a regular model Vision radio on this bike??

Vision Riders is another forum. So is Victory Forums.
Vision Riders has a rather good DIY section.

My question is why in the world would you want to? After market radios are much better and easier.
Hi Bu1030. When you say there are much better ones that are easier. Where do I put the radio. I have the 8 ball version. So the middle part of my console is just blank and no holes cut into it. So where would I put the Rockgate radio? Do I need to purchase the regular Vision console, so that I have a spot for the radio? Sorry for all the questions. But I just want to get it right the first time.

thanks Very much for the help

I miss spoke on aftermarket radios for Vision, The radio installed is the only one for this bike. However, after market amps and speakers can be installed and sound good. I purchased the Rockford fosgate 400 4 channel and 5.25 speakers front and rear. I tried to mount it in the cubby in the truck but no go (didn't like it there. So I mounted it under the plastic (left side). There are previous post that explains everything about it. Wiring does support the new equipment and hoks up pretty easily.

Sorry about the confusion, I seen 8 ball not vision
Hi Buc. I think I have found a solution. I was looking and found a Infinity PRV 250 marine stereo. It looks like the depth of the unit is fairly decent, (not too deep). And it's a good brand, as well, I have done some reading on it. It sounds like it's waterproof, so sitting on the console of my Vision should be ok as well. It'll stream in blue tooth mode, so I can use my phone for most of the music. And, if I get real fancy, I can add a USB connector that fits inside the compartment on the left side of the bike.

All I need to do, it seems, is get out the jigsaw and cut a hole in the console for it to fit into. Wire it up, and hopefully, TA da. Sound. HAHA, it's never that easy.

I don't think I would want to cut up my center console for a radio when the stock one will support a 400w 4 channel amp with 5.25 speakers well
Well, at this point, I either purchase a used radio and console, I have found one on Ebay, or I can install a totally different system in my existing console. That's kinda the point I'm at. I'm not sure which way to go. Your idea of just adding an amp and better speakers sounds great. Some of the blogs on here have said that the stock Vision radio's aren't all that great. So I'm hoping that just adding the amp and better speakers might be the better direction. I have the room on the bike, I have some cash to spend on some tunes. But, I don't want to be that dude that says "ugh I should have done it this way". You know what I mean.
