That makes me sick. I could do ten times a better job for a fraction of the price and wouldn't complain one bit. Id ride in everyday and park it with pride in the employee motorcycle parking.

I should bow before him whenever he shows his beady little weasel eyes. Farggin' Icehole!

All of us need to realize that a CEO is not paid for his real world performance. Instead he is paid what the board figures he is worth and in the way that the board figures will promote him doing the best he can for the business. They are as fallible as anyone else so they set up compensation plans that use some way to measure performance. If what they measure does not reflect real value to the company, that is their problem, not the problem of the CEO. I am sure that the incompetent, Wine, is scoring well on whatever measure the board has chosen to use so his compensation is high. If what he is doing does not lead to better performance of the stock and the company. that falls back on the board, not the CEO who knows how he will be graded. Like any of us, a CEO does what he thinks will enhance his rating by those who determine his wages and in this case it is the board of directors. If we want a simple target to attack, why not focus on those who decide what to pay Wine?

It amazes me as to how or why companies work out the worth of these blunder heads that appear to run these companies..... It has just recently that for the last few years the CEO of Australia Post ( a so called semi govt. business that is really a privatised company subsidised by the Australian government) was being paid a cool 5 million + dollars a year for his so called expertise.......

That is ludicrousness to the nth degree of madness..... No wonder the govt. cannot afford my pension any more......

Is anybody surprised? Many of the higher ups of many companies make too much money. My opinion, very few people are worth over $100k a year
Luckily we pay our teachers, fireman, and police well. Wait!!! Nevermind!

Hey ease off, I was paid more than that my last few years before I retired and was worth everything they paid me. The CEO that I was under was paid well over a million per year.

What isn't pointed out is that many company board members are not working for the benefit of the shareholders, but rather themselves at the expense of the shareholders. This is the impression that PII gave me at the beginning of this year. Board members conspiring with the CEO and his operational staff to benefit themselves instead of the stockholders; bad juju for the longevity of any business. It's the "death spiral".

Hey Polaris, pay me $250,000/yr and I'll keep Victory open and make money with it. Right now, Victory has to be just BLEEDING MONEY for Polaris. Even if the brand only broke even this year, it's better than the losses they have to be eating by closing it.

These corporate fuktards don't ride motorcycles. They have absolutely no clue about bikers, what bikers want, what bikers do, how to sell to them, or what would impress them. You need a model for every demographic, and those individual models ALL need to be class leading AND look good too.

To bad polaris got rid of tom tillerman, under his watch, victory produced the vegas-hammer-jackpot-kingpin, and started work on the vision and I think X bikes, scott wine just proffited from tillermans work & direction, and he inherited big government contracts for atv's for Iraq & afganistan, OK I'll give him credit for buying & redesigning Indian, ( which is better than H.D.----but not close to VICTORY), but he gets paid $8.5 million a yr thats just insanity

Just don't give him too much credit. Prior to the acquisition, I was having dinner with some people who credibly would know such things, and the word was Polaris was going to buy the rights to Indian for $15 million.

It was said that within the Polaris corridors of power, the statement "We could make that back in T-shirt sales alone" was scoffingly being bandied about.

I'm guessing $15M is chump change in that world, so it sounds like the purchase was a "no-brainer".

This is in no way a defense of the clueless pud who murdered our brand or the 'Wine Enema' we all received under his watch.

Honestly, I am not that much in need, nor do I fully understand how the pay for such things is determined, But.........I WOULD be happy to get paid just one million dollars for each of only three of the things I've fukd' up in my lifetime.

If I could get paid for all of my fk ups, now we're talking some serious money!!

That's a lot of money.

When I hear how much money football, baseball, hockey, etc players make it makes me sick.

Sports are games. No athlete comes even close to deserve what they make
