I was interested in the shorty backrest that both witchdoctors and vicbaggers sell. I haven't heard to many positive stories about witchdoctors. They have 1 in stock, but then again alot of there products say they only 1 in stock.

Being that vicbaggers is located in my state, I knew the shipping would be little to none and that was definitely the case. I have ordered from vicbaggers before and the shipping was earlier than expected.

In all fairness though, there is a significant difference between clearance/sale items and stock inventory. Nothing wrong with shopping the sales (I am the same way - love stretching the buck) BUT - gotta understand - usually the reason a product is "on sale" or "clearanced" is because it has sat in stock and they want it SOLD and off their books.. Stock inventory is different - stock inventory is all about profit margins and is also subject to JIT (just in time) and supply line issues... Lots going here - I definitely think WD needs to be extra careful at this time cause they are on a pathway of having invested heavily in NOS Polaris parts with the hopes of seeing a wide profit margin by raising prices above retail on that inventory.. Even a few bad experiences like we are reading about here can really hurt their chances of seeing that happen in lieu of what people have already been thru with Polaris..
I agree there is a big difference between clearance items and regular sales. On clearance items they make much less profit but even in that situation WD has been rated excellent in service. When it comes to things WD would get JIT, I will order it from their suppliers and not from WD. As I said, I am a cheap bas***d.

I needed spark plug wires quick.
While there ordered Vicbaggers license plate relocator (same price either place).
It was shipped less than 8 hours later. Free shipping. At my house 2 days after I ordered.

Yeah...I'm not impressed either! !!!! Wow

Will post pics of my new Ass soon!

I'm pretty sure Jon sees me, or rather us, as competition. That's natural. We discussed WD carrying a part of ours when we first came on the Victory scene but we couldn't quite come to an agreement. We had been completely independent for the previous 6 years so decided to keep it that way.

That said, overall I gotta say that WD is pretty darn impressive. Although I've heard some stories from others I've found my experience to always be very good.

I've bought ALLOT from WD for both my bikes with excellent delivery and service and will continue. ROBYN in customer care is the BEST!
BUT...DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM THEM....all they would do with a defective tire was offer free shipping on new one...thank-you John, I've now found better prices and customer care for tires at BIKE BANDIT!

On tires I beat everyone at Dennis Kirk but that does not keep me from thinking WD is great for service. Sometimes you just have to go with price. If they were about the same price I would have probably used WD.

I just made an order to witch doctors for a 1/4 turn ring, and a reuasable timing gasket. Arrived the next day.
I accidentally duplicate ordered in the middle of the night, (was on midnight shift) and sent them a message, and first thing in the morning I received an e mail from Robyn saying that they had already caught the duplication and refunded my 2nd purchase. Excellent service, although combined shipping on the two one ounce items would be appreciated.
I'm from NE ohio, so I think I will have to take a ride up to their store and check it out. Summit Racings giant retail store, and I have witch doctors local too, I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to having handy speed parts, and that's the way I like it

And... what say you about the ostentatious shipping charges?

Why does your home page say
Image

And your shipping/returns page doesn't say that some or most parts are not eligible for the free shipping. But every time I shop for something it says:
  • Not Eligible For Free Shipping

Maybe that advertising icon on the homepage should read "Free shipping on eligible items and items nobody buys on orders over $99".

Just my $.02.... the $12.99 for shipping my two cents will be billed later, it wasn't eligible for free shipping.
Larger items and the occasional smaller item will not qualify for free shipping. Those items are clearly marked, as you've noted. I agree with your suggestion, and will definitely see what we can do about changing the wording.

Somewhat of an older thread but it still applies and I agree with the OP. Website said item ships in 2 to 3 days. Charge card took the hit so I figured there's no problem . Now about 2 weeks later, nothing from the seller. So I email WD. Robyn says the item may arrive this week and directed me to the posted Sale Ts and Cs of sale re: the charge. Really? You missed the point entirely. It would have been nice to know about the delay. It would have been nicer to hold off hitting my charge card until shipping in this case. How about this? Send me a hundred dollars. I'll send it back in a week. When you don't hear from me in 2 weeks, you contact me. I'll say that I'll send it back this week or next, not sure. You feel me now?

I've been with Vic since 2000, been riding since 1968 and never flamed anyone like this on a forum. But telling me to read terms and conditions when you're overdue, have my money and basically put forth no customer service...yeah, basically says the wrong thing entirely.

Witchdoctors has been good to me so far. I did order the Ness gas cap from them last Wednesday and didn't hear back from them like I usually do.... within a few hours. So I waited until Friday and sent them an email asking about the order. I was told that the item was out of stock from the vendor and would be shipping directly from the vendor when it was back in stock. The cap was $22 less from WD than from anyone else so I'll be a little patient. It would have been nice to know this before or at time of purchase in case I needed the cap immediately.

I hate the stock cap and would love to get the Ness cap ASAP but I'll give it another week or so.

BTW, WD is the ONLY vendor that I have ever dealt with that actually calls to make sure you are happy with their products and service. Nice touch.

I order the gas cap to...they are waiting for them from Ness....I don't need it NOW...so waiting a few weeks is not a big deal....especially that I'm saving more than 30% on the item...when there's a big sale usually there is some led time....plan accordingly. ..

Just something to think about....in a year from now...how many vendors will be left selling aftermarket victory accesories...not many...Witchdoctors has always been a good vendor, I will continue to support them.

I have found WD a good place to get items for my 2013 Judge. Like someone has already mentioned there are not that many venders who stock or focus on Victory items especially for the Judge after the Victory factory closed down. I expect there will even be fewer as time goes by. Some venders do not even mentioned the name Victory anymore on their webpage. I ordered two new Barrett black steel throttle cables at the end of August, 2017. I received one of the cables right away but the other cable specified that it would not be available to ship until 15 September 2017 when I ordered it. When that date passed, I was notified that the cable would not be available until the first of October 2017 because Barrett had a backlog. Now the date has been changed to 15 October 2017. Do I blame WD for this? No, because they are at the mercy of the manufacturer, plus I have dealt with Barrett before on my VTX 1300 a few years ago when it took me about 90 days to get new throttle cables from another vender. I see the problem with Barrett not WDs. Barrett makes good cables but unless you find an item in stock, you are going to wait a while to get one of their products in my experience.

Weetch Dockers has been berry berry goot to me !

Let's remember they are one of the few that remain in business to cater to our Victory needs.
I would recommend you support these vendors.
Are there some things better to buy else where ?
Sure. Especially tires as there are sources that live and breath tire sales.
After every sale and delivery from the Docs I get a follow up call to ask about my satisfaction.

Personally I'm not a fan of titles such as this threads title. Nothing personal. IMO if your unhappy then seek satisfaction. If to no avail then end business dealings with the vendor and go else where.
They have phone #s for you to call and ask questions before purchase. Why believe what's on the site as they are not updated daily.
If it says on the site or they say on the site that tire sales are final then then tire sales are final.
Buy local at the shop that's installing them. There's a more of a sense of loyalty between customer and vendor that's hard to put a savings discount on !

Just saying. Keep your" good " local vendors alive and eating.

I called Witchdoctors (don't mind giving companies another fair chance), a couple weeks ago, to see if they had any of the chrome gas caps in stock (didn't say either way, on the page). Dillon told me that they were sold out, and on backorder from Ness, and wasn't sure if and when they would be available.
By then, I already had the itch to get that cap (chrome beveled) changed out, so I ordered one from Ebay ($135), from a place in Maryland. I, literally, received the cap the NEXT day!!!
Well worth looking around, and I didn't mind paying a little more, as I got it right away, and had it changed out on the same day.

Those cheese wedges you ordered are from VicBaggers
