KRB, on the XCT the key can be removed after the fuel cap is opened. but one needs to reinsert to close it again and lock it.....

Yes you can start it without a key if you have something like Digital Gaurd Dog system. And not everyone has panniers and/or a trunk.
But even if you don't have the Gaurd Dog and do have the storage it's still one less place you have to use a key. That's like someone saying I have $400 and I'm going to give you $100 and your response is no I either want all $400 or nothing.

I fail to see the analogy, but that's ok!

And I do have the DGD thing and also have all the other things as well.

Send over that hundred bucks mate and I will then thank you and gratefully say to you, you deserve the other three hundred.....

The easiest mod you can do in my opinion. Well, maybe putting a bumper sticker on would be easier, but I wouldn't do that. Victory paint wouldn't hold a sticker most likely :lol:

I hate the stock set up too. If it has to have a lock on it, why doesn't it open the other way. It seems backwards to me. Some older pumps and nozzles are very difficult to manipulate with the cap opening towards the rider. Never could figure out that one.
