Great choice in beer @Blackened ! My wife and I love hogaarden. Even better from tap and she likes it with an orange. Shame we couldn't ride together. Next time I hope.
It was my first (and second) but definitely not my last! I really liked it. Super smooth.

Time wasn't on my side this weekend but I am sure we'll get the opportunity to ride at some point! I love the idea of a big meet-up too. That is a LOT of ground to cover between TX and VA (My folks lived in San Marcos - It was 1422 miles and 22 hours of drive time point to point!) so if we met in the middle that is still somewhere around 11 hours... My Vegas is pretty comfortable but not like a real touring bike! Once I hit about the 8 hour mark of straight riding I'm done. No IronButt here and not ashamed to admit it! :aktion086::crackup:

That said, all it takes is someone starting a thread here on the VOG to start talking it out! If it is meant to be... It will!

Boats, Thank you for organizing this run and leading this wild pack down roads you never rode.

So there you have it. Some Photographic evidence that this did happen and fun was had by all. This was a great group and outside of a few little annoyances like ripped out tail light wiring, and shredded rear tires... I would consider the trip a wild success.

Ride safe my friends. until next time.

Perhaps we should plan a Ghost Ride, I hear the roads in NE PA are a blast to run.... perhaps a longish weekend?

Thank you so much for posting these pics Squatch! You and your missus are absolutely awesome people and I am stoked to see she caught a pic of me and the Vegas! It's the first ever of us together!

Your welcome shipmate. My dancing partner is awesome at taking photos and capturing that perfect moment. Glad you got a pix with your beloved.

PS had to toss in the Man down tag line . it looks like we are all deciding what to do with the guy that got run over by his bike LOL.

She definitely has an eye for good photo ops! I didn't even know she'd snapped that photo!

HAHAHAHA..... Down but not out and rode 6 hours back home without incident! I'm going to call that a good day!

Great pics... love the one of my “mini” Vision.... Wish we were back there blazing the mountains right now. Awesome time with awesome people!

Only 11 more days til I'll be in Maggie Valley for the Mid Atlantic Meet. Let me know if you will be able to make it out there to ride with us. 6/17 - 6/23.

Hilariously I'll be in Maggie Valley for a family gathering next weekend as well. I don't think I'll be able to get away for any riding though...
Will you have your bike down there? If so, all we need to do is find an excuse for you to have to run out for a couple hours... :oilleak: :hihi:

:crackup::rofl3::rofl3::crackup::crackup: THAT'S like saying "I'm just going to stop and have 1". When my wife says I can ride, without her, she knows I'll be home by dusk:icon_thumleft:

Love to join you guys...
You're always welcome. We are staying at the Maggie Valley Inn. There is a special room rate for the Mid-Atlantic Meet. I believe they released any remaining blocked rooms we had left, but I think they are still honoring the rate for any unbooked rooms. Just in case they are not honoring that rate, they have a decent discount if you have AAA. I think Bear is going to try to meet up with us. I'll be trailering down this time tho. I have tents / easy ups, chairs, coolers, etc that I'm taking down this time for the evening activities.

I might actually. My wife's car is at the dealership having it's turbo replaced and my truck is getting old (2002) so I don't want to drive it that far being it's got a hell of a lifter rattle. At this point it looks like we are going to have to drive my Mustang down and three people in there just isn't going to work. Other options are we can get a rental car OR I can ride down.

Depending on how good the weather is, I might just ride and have Sarah drive the Mustang with James. As I mentioned I am there for a family gathering so getting away might be tough.
