Similar to my first post, I found another I'm looking at to purchase and would love to get thoughts/opinions/advice.
2011 Vision with 21k miles...
One thing that has saved me thousands of dollars over the years is to offer to do an oil and filter change at my expense at the shop or dealership of their choice. Just have whoever does the physical work to clean the drain pan thoroughly, then pour off the old oil and check for excessive metal in the bottom of t he drain pan.
I't's a no lose situation for the seller and really has saved me a lot of money and grief.
I've never bought one sight unseen so I don't know how that could be done without you being there or having someone you trust go see.
Every shop I ever worked at did this before buying, taking a bike in trade or on consignment.

Looks pretty clean. Quite a good price at $7800 for that year and low miles (21k is barely broken in)

has the unicorn lower deflectors on it, which is good. Along with a grasshopper driver backrest and some aftermarket trunk rack (not OEM Victory)

I see it’s in Mesa, AZ. I’d suggest contacting Phoenix Triumph (formerly Arizona Victory) and see if they can inspect the bike for you.

I see the seller noted the ABS light is on. Could be a simple fix (like a dirty sensor or misaligned) or something more serious. Also, he doesn’t mention any performance mods. I only see different exhaust tips, but that may not mean anything.

have you contacted the seller and talked to him more about it? That’s what I’d do.

also, are you local here in AZ?

Yep, I'm also in Mesa, AZ.
I do want to have it inspected first but also want to jump on what seems like a great deal...

yup, all the more reason to talk to the seller and also to Phoenix Triumph. Maybe you can meet the seller there, they can inspect and you can make the deal.

Well, went to go check out the bike last night. Now I'm hooked

Bike seems to be in great condition, he fired it up, sounds lovely (yes those are aftermarket/upgraded exhaust).

Guy selling is a retired airline pilot that has a pretty decent collection of bikes, says he's owned ALL of the brands out there including harleys, and he's also got an '08 Vision that he's keeping, which is why he's letting this one go.

As for the "faults". Yes, it has the ABS light on, but he's more than willing to have it inspected (at my cost which is fine) so just need to work out with Phoenix Triumph when they can get it in and get it looked at. Other faults:
- There are a couple holes punched out in the center strip where there use to be a GPS mounted... it's an older GPS unit that apparently can't get updates anymore, he said I could have it but he just uses phone for navigation anymore, which is what I'd do anyway.
- the radio screen has a small crack in it when the original owner dropped a small wrench on it. Doesn't affect the function, and it's just a small crack in the plastic cover, not the screen itself.

The luggage rack on the back (that I think one of you mentioned was aftermarket) looks and feels SUPER sturdy, so all good there.

Looking forward to getting on this bike!

It's a great bike. Decent deal --- I personally would find a perfect one without holes or cracks. I try to keep my bikes pristine and that always helps me when the time comes to move on to the next one.

The Vision is a wonderful machine. Did many thousand of miles and I compare every bike to it now.

Good luck --- post some pictures.

7k for a 2011 with only 21k miles... I was thinking that was a stellar deal...

Ask if the front fender has been updated. There are pilots here that can post pics of the fix.

I did a quick facebook search in my area, SW, OHIO out to 250 miles. 7k seems to be a quite fair price compared to what folks out here are asking, but I do not know the Vision market at all. As a side, if anyone is up in Michigan (Warren, Detroit area) there may be a sweet deal on 2012 low milage Cross Countries. Guy has 2 of them with less than12k miles each, I believe. He wants 6500 each or will sell the pair for 11,500. Hard to tell the condition as they need a bath. They are black with either some white or silver on the tank and fairing of each one. Typical facebook add that give far too few details.

Good call on that one. OP, if the front fender fix/recall has been done you will see a bolt halfway down the back half of the fender right behind the brake line.

The radio screen crack can be repaired by sending the assembly to Radio Sound. That/s who made the radio's for Victory. I sent them mine last year because the display quit working,, it was $250.00 plus shipping and worked great when I got it back. I think it was 1 week turnaround. You can find the center tank bezel on Ebay without the holes for reasonable price. You will love the Vision, best touring bike I have ever owned.
