Hello all,
I just joined this site after talking with a Victory dealer yesterday who made me stop and consider these machines as potential options prior to purchasing another Harley. I've owned a Harly street Glide, but sold it prior to going to Afghanistan (I'm 20+ yr active duty USMC), and now that I am back I am looking to but a new bike. I am looking at a touring level bike; either a Victory Vision Tour or Harley Ultra Classic, and am looking for opinions from both crowds (Victory riders and Harly)to help me with my decisioin.
First and foremost I want American and a close second and third is dealer support and reliability!!!
One of my concerns and what has turned me away from the import bikes is the amount of plastic on them, which is one of the reasons I tend to side towards Harleys. Additionally, Harleys seem to have a much better dealer network.
So, I would love to hear from folks who I know are out there who have opinions about both bikes...I would just ask that they be constructive, and not brand emotional (I'm a Ford guy and will always be a Ford guy so I understand brand loyalty). I've heard that a lot of former Harley guys are riding Victory's now...tell me the why please!
Thanks for eveyrone's help.
