I average 38-39 mpg. How you ride will make a difference. I have gotten 55 mpg coming down the rockies with wind on my back. But if I get 40-42 on a fill up, I'm thrilled.

I run between 42 n 45 mpg rollin interstate cruise set st 75 with a trunk on my magnum. Only mods are s&s upgrade kit cams breather download card and Vance n Hines exhaust, runs pretty good never any decel pop burn only premium fuel. Milage figured by gal divided into milage per tank

I have to admit the notion of being able to store more internal fuel is intriguing. I would not want to go crazy as there is the weight penalty to consider. But in my case there is room inside the fairing of the Viz so that the tanks could be redone to carry about 1/2 gallon down low each tank. That would be pretty awesome actually. The pump pickup would have to be altered which might get tricky.
