Well today I did the deed! I traded my 2011 Victory Cross Country for a 2014 Indian Chieftain. I pick her up next week with a stage one exhaust, Chrome fender tips, Highway pegs and a back rest that will be on order for who knows how long.

I'm excited and it's going to be a very long week! I admit that I was a very sad seeing my Cross Country go. She was a great ride and I thoroughly enjoyed every troube free mile we had togther. Pictures coming soon.

Congrats, sad to see the Vic go, but Im glad you are excited. Let us know how it rides.

Congratulations, PVR. You just traded one great bike for another. The Chieftain is an out-of-the-park homer. The TS111 is just about the most butteryV-Twin I've ever ridden. Thatendless sensation of torque isbetter than sex. LOL.

We'll be expecting a full reportonce you've put it through its paces.

Now the only question is, what are yougoing to do about your VOG name?

The name shall remain the same my friend. I'll always be a proud-vic-rider and I plan on sticking around. I see a new Vegas in my near future for scooting around town and I would have kept the XC but it's purpose is to close to that of the Chieftains to justify keeping both bikes. Unfortunately it had to go and yes I miss it already.

You're spot on in regards to the TS111 and the Indian in general. Many happy milkes await for me and I can't wait to get the wheels in motion. Full report coming soon....

Congratulations on getting your Indian. You'll love it, not only for the attention it will get, it is comfortable, handles great and has lots of power. Ride safe. The passenger backrests are starting to come out. I got mine on Thursday. Enjoy.

Congrats PVR!

I'm thiiiiissssss close. My wife and I took the 65 mile ride to the dealer this AM. I took a demo ride back in October but that was an insane day at the dealer with no real time to talk to any Indian rep or REALLY getting to enjoy checking out the bikes up close.

We spent about 2 hours at the dealer this AM just talking to the sales guy, looking at things , and getting the full tour of the Bike from the sales man. He also gave me a trade price and priced up the Chieftain with all the accessories that I want. So now I have all the numbers and the data I need.
I don't ever buy anything the day I walk in. I always let them know what I know, listen to what they have to say, ask any questions,.... and then go home and sleep on it for a day or two.

The guy told me that if I place the order by Tuesday I'll have the Bike around the end of the month.

Anyway... sorry about the hijack! Enjoy your new ride!!!

I was fortunate to be able to buy an Indian Chieftan last fall and still keep my 11' XC for my primary ride. You're gonna love that new Indian Chieftan, maybe more than the XC it replaces.

I already like the look of my Chieftain more than the XC, but Like I tell everyone... The Victory Cross Country is hands down the most comfortable, best handling, capable anbd powerful bagger I've ever had the privelege to own. I'm happy I got a chance to put 23K miles on one. No regrets buying the Indian and I'm looking forward to riding it like I stole it!

Congrats on being able to keep both bikes.

Congrats on your new Indian. So funny seeing this thread. I was at the Vic/Indian dealer in Annapolis, MD on Saturday, looking at the Cheifain (Black), wow! what a beauty. Got into a conversation with the owner (Mike), he offered me a great trade-in for my 2011 XC. Now, I'm struggling with what to do (Love my XC, but the Indian Chiefain is calling me, lol). But, I have not test rode one yet. Oh the pressure!!!

The new Indians are great bikes however I'm keeping the CCT and looking at a cruiser for a second. It's a hard choice though, something sweet like a blue Vintage with brown bags or a High Ball with a Boardwalk fender with a hopped up motor.
In any case congratulations on the new ride. I can hardly wait to see the Chieftain Tour when they release it.

You're more patient than I am. Not to entice you at all but there are rumors that the 5 yearwarranty may be going away soon.

Go take one for a ride you'll be glad you did!

Congratulations on your new Indian PVR!
I am having the same concern with respect to giving up my very cool Vic XR, but really do want a Chieftan after having done 3 demo rides and loving the ride and looks of that awesome machine.

For fdorrance2... very glad to hear the Naptown Vic/Indian dealer is offering a great trade-in on your XC. I received what I felt was a very generous trade for my Triumph when I bought a Vegas there about 3 years ago. Now, I am seriously thinking about seeing what they could do for me on my XR. I'm really glad to see Chesapeake picking up the Indian dealership now, with them only a short 1-hr ride from Solomons.
