I just acquired a new 2014 CCT back in March. I've done 2 long (for me) trips now, and I notice that I just "need" to straighten out my legs every now and again. I find myself putting my heals just inside the lowers and letting my feet lay out "into the wind". While it's comfortable - after a while it makes my hips hurt with twisting my legs like that.

I've come to the conclusion that I want highway pegs, but I'm not sure they're going to look "right" on a cross country tour. I've done some searching here and at the other forum and I've seen some good pics. So I think I know what I'm getting into.

How about it? Are Highway pegs on a CCT OK or too ugly? Thoughts?

Its about comfort sir, nobody else's opinion matters on fashion compared to your comfort.

If your legs are long enough, you can use the Arlin Ness clamps and attach to the highway bar with any peg of your liking. If you have shorter legs, there are angled/extended clamps available and Vic has a set that attaches under the foot board.
IMO highway pegs on the Tour will look just fine whatever you go with.

I have highway pegs on my CCT and they look fine. I can easily flip them up and they can barely be seen. Mine are attached to the crash bars using offset extensions.

Here's a pic of mine. As curtdan62 said, I can fold them up out of the way when I want. Makes it easy to stretch out.

I have the Kuryakyn Iso pegs on offset extensions. Just like evil_genius. I have mine set up so I can rest the heel of my foot on the floorboards and my toes on the pegs. I can flip them up to park it in the garage close to the wall. Leave the right pegs down to keep the kids power wheels further away. The bike looks cleaner without them but I had money to spend. Me legs and feet are so comfortable without the pegs, I have to make my self use them now and again.

Best picture I have of the pegs on the XCT

Same here, Heals on floorboard toes on pegs. Plus they are high enough not to ever rub.

According to victorymotorcycles.com, it doesn't fit.

They definitely fit as I have a set on my 2014 CCT. I am thinking seriously taking the pegs off and just using the stups as I am a short arse fella andwhen my legs are outstretched I can rest my heel on the foot boards and the toes on the stubs wher the actual pegs swivel on.....
