Ohh my friend, you have LOTS of reading to do. Do a forum search (here and any other Victory forum you might be on), and you'll see this is a well worn subject, and you'll find lots of great information already posted. Not a "lot" of folks seek out maximum performance since these beasties are so powerful out of the box, but hitting up Lloyd's would be a good first start. http://www.lloydz.com/store/ Some basics you'll learn in your searches: 2-into-1 pipes give you a small performance gain whereas 2-into-2 pipes cost you a little bit of power. ALL Victory mods are expensive.

The only limits are Lloyd's imagination and your wallet. This is what he imagined for me: Builder: Lloydz Motorworks -- Pine Bush, NY Displacement: 110 Cu In (1800cc) Cases: Stock Bore: 4.06" (103mm) -- stock + 2mm Stroke: 4.25" (108mm) -- stock + 6mm Crank: S&S stroker - balanced Rods: S&S stroker Cylinders: Stock -- Re-sleeved w/Ductile iron liners Pistons: Weisco 11:1 (11.2:1 actual) Heads: Stock -- bowl-blended, port clean-up Valves: Stock -- swirl polished w/3-angle seats, Andrews springs, and low profile retainers Cams: Lloydz VM-1 HP Airbox: Lloydz Torque Tubes Fuel Management: Dynojet PC-III Throttle Bodies: Stock -- 45mm Injectors: Stock Intake Manifolds: Stock Rev Limit: 6700 RPM Exhaust: Bassani Road Rage 2-into-1 Compensator: Stock -- Polished & machined with oil retention grooves Clutch: Stock -- Barnett pressure plate/spring Gearing: 2 teeth smaller front pulley (7% reduction) If this does not scratch your power itch you are obviously one sick and twisted individual... which means we could probably hang out and be great friends. PS: If Lloyd tells you a mosquito can pull a plow, start fabricating a tiny plow harness for your mosquito.

Agree and disagree. While I think Lloydz Motorworkz is the way to go, it was fairly inexpensive for me. 30 HP & FTLB for $2500? a better than 1/3 improvement, I'm OK with it A Hammer, hmmm, I would: Torque tubes: http://www.quickvic-usa.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000085 VFC-III: http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000003 Pipes: http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000044 IAV: http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000078 So, $1,575 give or take a little, if you can do some basic wrenching for yourself. Seems like a fairly economical boost w/o opening the engine case. AND, I'm guessing if you bought a Hammer, you're probably not too shy for the extra sound the bike will make. JMTC, KG

Agree, except I'd get the Power Commander in lieu of the VFC. You have suggested an excellent foundation to build on. A big bore kit and cams is pretty cheap & easy if performance becomes an addiction/obsession. Don't be like me. I bought 2 FI controllers, 2 airboxes, and 3 exhaust systems... I learn everything the hard way... .

Thanks, for all the great suggestions for bumping the HP for my Hammer S, I already hit the Lloyds site and can't wait to open the wallet, I just have to sell the wife on the necessity of these upgrades, any suggestions would be helpful.

Don't tell her. When she notices the missing money tell her you have a fetish for prostitutes. After she stews for a few hours tell her the truth. The bike parts will seem like a much better alternative to what she first thought! This might work for musical instrument purchases as well;)

I went with, "It's a safety issue sweetie! There's no way I could live with myself if you got hurt because we didn't have the power to get out of some idiots way. " Later I added, "I bought us the heaviest bike I could because it's a lot safer, but it's under powered." First she just listened to the pipes and said, "I don't get it." Then I took her for a very serious full spectrum test ride on a Sunday afternoon and she said, "OK, I get it."

Finding neutral when engine is hot I have an '09 Hammer S, and when I'm riding and the engine is hot, it is almost impossible to find neutral.Aam I the only one with this problem. I have not talked to my vic dealer yet, Any thoughts???

If you are not already doing so, switch to a good synthetic oil (I'm using Amsoil 10w40) and a good quality 15 micron oil filter (I'm using Amsoil EAOM103-EA). This will give you good service life and make sure that there is no debris in the oil. No issues finding neutral on my 2006 Victory even when going 5,000 miles between oil changes. The longer you use synthetic oil, the better your bike will shift (guess it takes a while for the oil to work it's way into all of the nooks and crannies). You don't have to use Amsoil. Just use a brand you are comfortable with. But, look for a 15 micron oil filter and the best quality oil you can afford. This is what worked for me...

Try bringing the rpm's up a bit when at a stop, and she should pop into neutral quite easy.
