Brenny's Motorcycle Clinic in Bettendorf is now listed as the first Indian Dealership in Iowa. They are putting up a new building next to the old shop, and it looks like it will be a nice facility that will house both Victory and Indian.

Brenny's is known for their radio and TV commercials, which often feature guys dresed in drag. I'm all for schtick and gimmicks - but have never understood the "drag" thing with Brenny's. I just hope if they run Indian commercials - they use a little discretion and keep them classy. With the American Pickers shop just up the highway in Le Claire - maybe they will feature some cameos by Mike or Frank. Otherwise, I fear we'll see "The Village People" dancing around the bikes, or worse yet - the owner dressed as Pocahontas...

It is great we are finally getting a dealer here in Iowa....it is still farther away than Lincoln...but only by a few miles. My brother lives in Davenport, so maybe I'll switch dealers until there is one closer to Des Moines.

I get to Davenport about once every 5 weeks for work. I usually walk through their shop. They typically have about 6 Victories or so crammed onto their floor and only a few accessories and such. The new bike section is crowded with lots of various bikes and four wheelers. Glad to hear they're building a separate showroom for Indian and Victory. The choices in bikes, accessories and apparel are sure to go way up. I've never heard a Brenny's radio ad so that's likely a good thing as that 'schtick' has nothing to do with selling high end motorcycles IMHO. One of the things I like so much about Randy's Cycle is they have just about everything in the Victory accessory and apparel catalogs in stock and on display.

I bought my first bike from Brenny's when I lived in IA .. great place! I find it odd that its the 1st Indian Dealer in IA though, I would have figured a shop in cedar rapids or des moines would have been first.

The Excelsiors aren't on display - they have them stored in a separate warehouse. They do still have the Excelsior Henderson sign on the front of the building though...

Unless they have had all the Xman updates, trans., oil lines, etc. they are trouble.

I talked to a salesman a few years back about the EH's, and it sounded like they were bone stock, NOS. No Xman mods. I think it would be pretty cool if they dug them out of storage and had them on display in the new building with the Vics and Indians, and the used Harleys for a USA bike theme
