Spaceview Evolution - YouTube

First watch in the world to be driven by an accumulator, the technique is remarkable and stunning to look at.

Accumulator? We're all accumulators. Mostly of junk!

I had this one made. Turned out better than I thought it would and is one of my favorites. Found a guy on Ebay and told him what I wanted and he did it. It might have been $20. I have a flexband on it now.

MeisterSinger Primatic Petrol UN919 = No battery that's why i chose, time is not important that is why 1 hand only, Petrol Green ?? That were the 2 buying points for me

The MeisterSinger Primatic PR919 features a petrol-coloured dial, gently iridescent in the light, with white contrasts and fine red highlights. The outer ring of the dial gives its face a certain depth and a particularly elegant character. The power reserve indicator is located in the lower half of the dial. With a diameter of 41.5 mm and a thickness of 10.5mm, the PR919 Primatic presents a case size that is new to MeisterSinger. The lug width of this model is 20mm. The stainless steel case is water-resistant up to 5 bar / 50m
The Swiss Sellita SW270 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Primatic. The date display can be conveniently set via its quick-switch function. The rotor provides the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours. The power reserve display tells the wearer when the watch needs to be rewound.

I really dig that watch. No need for the exact time for the most part. I typically like to be 15 min to 30 min early where ever I'm going and it appears that watch covers that.

I personally haven't worn a watch in years for the same exact reason @MagVic CCT has stated. Using my phone while traveling is nice as well because I don't have to worry about time zones as it will update automatically.

Back when I wore a watch daily, I wore a Fossil but I would crack the crystal often. When they stopped doing free repairs I stopped wearing the watch. I do still have a gold citizen watch with West Texas A&M's logo on the face that I wear when I need to dress up. If I wasn't so rough on watches I would wear it more often, but I'm afraid to break it since my aunt bought it for me when I graduated college and she has passed away since then.

Watches are, I believe very highly subjective objects. Some view them as necessary, some as jewelry, some as a way to make a statement concerning one's status, and some as simply a utility. Price and "affordability" would be based on the desired use of the watch and one's disposable income. Not unlike our bikes. For those who have the means, a 50K dollar bike might be perfectly justifiable.
Oh, and some may view watches as collectables. I'm always in favor of a person spending as much of their own money any way they see fit.
For me, a watch is only a utility and even less than that these days. I have a good supply of watches from various sources. Doubt that I would ever buy another one in my lifetime. Not even sure I'll ever wear one again.
But, I used to dress differently and a watch was part of the wardrobe. Now it's jeans and comfortable casual shirts. No other accessories needed.
Watches might make an interesting collection. I'd have to look into that. Possibly an investment, but I think with a very narrow market.

@MagVic CCT Your reasonability today is spot on but concerning, I don’t like it, you feeling ok

I thought both of them were reasonable priced ... but i only have 2 watches, not 10 like others, hi hi
Compared to other brands I would have to agree.

I don't even like coughing up 1600 dollars for the rubber on my truck.

I'm gonna have an even harder time coughing up 60K for a new truck when it comes time. The same will be said about a brand new motorcycle at 30K.

Anything over 100 bucks for watch I'll never consider unless I come across a ton of gold by chance. Even then, I think I would blow my money else where. Not knocking anyone on their watch purchases because I think majority of them are appealing; it's just not my thing.

Your concern is touching and appreciated. Just thought I'd participate and behave for once. It won't last.
