That you do, I'm 6 months away from 80 now.
Believe me when I say nobody is more surprised at that than I am.
I haven't owned or worked on a V92 but the airbox on the KP and other steel frames are like they built the bike around the damned thing.
Any way hope you are able to get some seat time real soon.
I can only hope to live as long. Nice to see that you are still riding :beer2:

I've had similar thoughts about my bike as well. At the very least, I think the motor has to come out before you can remove the airbox. This would be a simple job if not for the damn airbox being in the way!

The only way to remove them is cut them out or remove the engine.
Yep' I've cut the airbox out of two and was fortunate to find a used S&S air intake filter for them both.
Rarely see a used intake for any Vic these days.
That's about the only flaw I've found on Vics.

You're going to love this. I just got the adapter put in, took me all of about 2 minutes. It slipped in easy as hell. I was not expecting that after what you had told me! I'm guessing it was due more to luck than skill on my part. I think the hard part will be getting the throttle body back. It took lots of wiggling to get it out

Yes, that's what I meant was getting the throttle body mated to the spigots on the adapter.

Yeah, that makes more sense. I just got the throttle body back in. It's a royal pain getting it in. You have to have just right for it to slide in, the throttle cable bracket hangs up on everything! It took me a while, but glad its back in now. I'll finish it up probably tomorrow, I'm spent for today.

Well, got it back together and running. Still having an issue with idle and part throttle stumble, but it is better. Also, I still seem to have a slight vacuum leak. That is really bugging me, everything rubber is new, so not sure where the hell it's leaking. It's hard to pinpoint a spot with the spray starting fluid. Going to have to figure out a way to find the exact spot somehow. Annoying :mad:

Still haven't addressed the pressure issue, but will get to that as soon as I can
 
Maybe a smoke test will reveal the leak?

There are some pretty good videos on how to do it.
Involves heated mineral oil and compressed air to force it into the intake.
I'm wondering if you might be able to force some smoke through one of the vacuum ports on your throttle body.
You know the ports I'm speaking of: The ones that are capped off.
