None of the "so called buffeting" Nazi's have chimed in. I post these things and it almost brings them to tears.

I like it hope you can develop it into something you can make some $$ off of.

Anything to get rid of the ugly fork air deflectors. Are you selling ;)

I'll be your test pilot let me know what you need.

Very interesting.

Let me know I offered to help test a while ago.

I see looking at those how mine being non-abs is different. You have to locate the two holes just behind the fairing and the ABS bikes locate the holes where my block is now located.

The piece in the back with the holes closer together must be the start of mine.

If it works out you won't be able to make them fast enough.

@Witchdoctor's are you watching?

I solved that with Victory fairing "wings", Memphis Shades fork lowers directly below the "wings", and the Victory flip windshield. I can light a lighter behind all that.
Me to but the fork deflectors are ugly I would like to not have them.

Any feedback from the folks that got the initial 7 ??? Hopefully you guys are out enjoying all of the non-buffetting riding you've done in a while today! Look forward to your comments.
I'm still waiting on mine....the non ABS is a modified design. I'm all over it the day it gets here.

THE --second-- mine arrives it's going for a long ride!!!!!

Here it is mounted and I did go for a quick ride running it up to 80 mpg on the Loop 101 but it's rush hour now so the ride to work is 25 miles of freeway each way so I'll know more tomorrow. I can say after my short ride is damn it really works.

I had a similar one on my Ultra Classic and it did help with buffeting. Looking at one of your pictures, it seems like the top portion of the front cylinder is getting blocked by this. In that case that part would become very hot due to lack of air flow. I'm interested in purchasing this, but just making an observation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
It's about 7" in front of the motor and by the looks of it, it's not blocking any cooling fins and actually directs air towards the cooling fins and oil cooler.

To answer your question I don't know.

Mine would have hit the fender on my non-ABS bike but I was warned to be careful. I had a friend watch and all I had to do after mounting it was to pull up on it and now I have an easy 1" clearance with no lock to lock interference, not even close.

The ride to work today was 25 miles of 55-75 MPH. Having the fork deflectors off is great I guess I got used to the way they would push the front end around because it seems so light now. The fork deflectors made a dead air space in front of me while that's good for buffeting it's not for 110*. With new deflector (is there a name yet?) I get way more air and it's smooth air there's just some "dirty" air at my knees and under my arms so in no way does it have an effect of riding. I rode today with my visor in the 1/2 open position (buffeting before would about take it off) and there was very little movement.

I held my hand in front of the tank at 65 mph and there's air blowing there so for those thinking it would cut off air to the intake it's not.

So far I see no negatives. This weekend it's coming off for Plasti-Dip followed by bed liner spray.

Hey there is a name CFAD Cee-FAD cool!!

The ride home was a lot like the ride to work but I was going into a headwind and did get minimal buffeting but nothing to speak of. Overall so far very good.

Will it replace the fork lowers I have or add it for even less wind?
I couldn't get my fork mounted wind deflectors off fast enough!!!! Some may like them I think they look like ****. Just my opinion.

The new deflector is almost as good as the fork mounts so yes you can replace them.

Met with @Darth_v8r today so he could see the CFAD first hand and it was good meeting a fellow Vog member.

My CFAD is currently hanging from a hanger drying from paint. Primer, hammer paint, epoxy then bed liner paint. Looks GREAT!!!
