On my bike I noticed a distinct heavy drag feeling from when I'm on the throttle to when I'm off the throttle. The best way I Can describe it is a feeling like the motor is engaging the transmission and stating to push it and then, dropping off so it not pushing it, and then you get on the throttle again and it reengages, it's like a distinct bump between going and then not going and then going again. Not sure if I'm describing this very well but are all jackpots like this or do I have something weird going on?

kidd your description is hard to understand but it almost sounds like your clutch is slipping. i would start with checking adjustment also idont know if the bike has been abused alsc do not run afull synthetic in your jp it has awet clutch bummer1

I googled this a bit after, I don't think it's anything slipping at all, it's when I let off the throttle to coast a bit and then get back on the throttle it's a distinct clunk when things disengage and then reengages I think maybe I'm lugging it a lil bit too, but sounds like it's because it's a gear driven primary drive engaging and it's referred to as backlash Read that all Victorys have it but it's probably the way I've been riding it that makes it more profound

I get used to get that too evry once in awhile, The Vic's like a little more RPM's when shifting up or down, when slowing for traffic or speed zones and getting back on the throttle make sure and use the corrct gear (dont lug), I came off Harley's and IMO these Vic's or a better machine in all accounts. You just need to get used too your bikes characteristic's (spelling?). Ride safe and enjoy. OHH and a this is a side affect of a closed loop fuel injection system also, But wont get into that LOL.

Soiunds like torque compensation to me. There is a torque compensator in the primary drive. I think thats what you are feeling. I assume that you are new to Victory. Some of the other bikes don't have this. It is there to smooth out the drive train and does kind of take up some slack

I got the belt tension gauge last week And set the belt to spec, I think it was a little less noticeable today being a little more smooth on and off the throttle, but it's still there Keeping the revs higher and shifting later seems to have lessened how often, but regardless of gear give it some throttle it clunks when you first get on it and then clunks when you let back off

Just want to make sure it's not something out of the ordinary, thanks for everyone's help, but sounds like I'll just get used to it. I've only rode motocross before but pretty sure they aren't chain driven either but the homd

These bikes run lean from the factory, and that makes low rpm issues more noticable.
After I dsconnected my O2 sensors I noticed an improved bottom end response, and it help smooth things out some. I then added the timing wheel and that helped also.

My 2014 Jackpot did the same thing. After I installed a Dobeck AFR+ Gen 4 it diminished quite a bit< but it is stil there.
