Just put it on. Even for short rides, my wife couldn't handle the stock seat. On past bikes, I used the Mustang but they don't make any for the Hammer yet. Never tried a Corbin, so far it rubs a little on the thighs. I'll put some miles on it and see. Anyway, it was a bear to put on, as all aftermarket motorcycle parts usually are. Bolt holes and brackets a hair off here and there as is typical. With a little beating with a hammer and cursing, it is on now. Beware the leather gets in the way of the bolt heads, a nightmare, if anyone is planning on installing it.

I need to upload a picture of my Corbin on the bike. I have a blue/white hammer and got the seat in bomber brown leather with white seams. Really turned out well and I find it much more comfortable up front. The seat does move you forward slightly which some might not like, but I find it more comfortable. On installation: It is a pain to install the seat if you follow the instructions because, as the OP said, the bolt holes are a fraction of an inch off and the leather gets in the way. I found that the seat was easier to put on when I attached both brackets to the seat and left the two lower bolts(the ones that actually attach to the fender) hanging inside the bracket. You can then use an open ended wrench to ratchet the seat down without the leather getting in the way. If the thing still isn't lining up you can loosen the rear fender from the frame and it makes it much, much easier to get the seat on the fender and then tighten the fender back down. This sounds complicated but taking the rear fender off the bike is very, very easy quick and uncomplicated.

ColbyCurtis: I just attended "Bike Week" in Ocean City Maryland. Ultimate Seats had a trailer and models to try but nothing for the Hammer yet unfortunatley.
Funny you mention that. I just got an email from them and it sounded it little like they were backing off their first statement. Here is a copy and paste of the email.
Hello it has been a few months since I talked to you. Last time we talked you said you were planning on designing a seat for the Victory Hammer 8 Ball in the Fall. I am hoping that is still the plan and just wanted to get an update from you on it. thanks

to me

Its a possibility still but no decisions made yet for next years new seats, we will have the new seat list in December.

I have the Corbin seat on my Honda Interstate and I love it!
I am looking to put one on my Vision this winter or next spring.

They can be hard at first and take a while to break in but once they do they fit you like a glove.

That is what I expected from Corbin. It is a long way from what I got. I have been fighting with them for 13 weeks now. Just trying to get the seat back fixed or not. I'll rework it myself.
Good luck to anyone trying to do business with them.

Gids,
What windsheild system are you using? Are you happy with teh touring backrest from Vic?

Thanks for your feedback
I'm using the mini standard windshield from Vic. The backrest works fine. The wife doesn't like riding without it, so I have no choice.

Cheers.
