Any reason one can't mount the hardbags from a Chieftain on the Classic? I like the Chieftain look without the fairing. That's an opinion. I just want to know what it would take to put on the bags. Then the windscreen would be no problem and I would roll from there. Then the whitewalls would go. Bags would need mountaing rails I assume. Anybody got any idea what this would cost? And finally I wish Indian would offer this type model.

Anything is possible, I and a few others just put cross bags on our vegas, pins and highballs. Anybody with any fabrication skills coupled along with time and money could do it

Cheiftain mufflers have brackets to support the bags, make your own brackets or buy somebody's take offs

I remember reading somewhere that Indian advises to NOT mount hard bags to the Chiefs.
