Hello all. I just installed ness fly bars, kuryakan iso grips, throttle boss, and have a brake-away throttle lock. When I got to the throttle lock, the clamp to hold the unit in place won't fit between the switch houseing and the brake. All of this is due to the ness fly bars are larger in the center, and then shrink to factory original size, and the hole drilled in the bars for the switch houseing. Has anyone installed one of these on fly bars? Did you run into the same issue? What did you do to resolve this?
My solution is to drill another hole or elongate the current hole .120 farther to the end of the bar. The grip will hang off the bar another .120 farther than it already is, but I do not see a problem with this. Maybe I have the wrong part number for my application?
Oh, and by the way, The ride with the ness fly bars feel so much more natural than the stock bars that I replaced. Thanks for any info or suggestions John

Glad you put up a pic. Mine does not look anything like yours. They sent me part# 7cp01. Mine has a clamp that goes on the bars with a round rod to hold it.
You wouldn't happen to have your part# still?
Many thanks John

They started pre-wiring the 09 Vegas & Kingpins, not sure about the Hammer & Jackpots. I don't think they did because cruise isn't recommended for those models. I installed the Breakaway Cruise Control system, I didn't like seeing the black box installed in front of the rear wheel below the swing arm, this was cheaper, looks good & does the same job. :Thumb:

Thanks OneThumb, I couldn't find what I was after.
rcupp I think the part number you must have is 6CP04, which is completely different from what they sent me.

Mine is the 5CP01 which I got cheap on closeout, the 7CP01 that you havesupercedes mine as it has a bigger hole to fit around the ISO grip a little easier. The 5 and 7 look identical except for the grip hole size. Lets see what you have??

Yes, that is exactly what they sent me. The piece that fits around the bars is .220 thick, and the most amount of gap that I can get is .100. I would really like to get the ones that you and OneThumb has. The only thing that I can come up with is to drill another hole .120 behind the existing one and let the grips hang off the bars a little more. I gave them a call, we will see if they get back to me tomorrow. Thanks for all you help John

Just an update. Brake-away called today and told me they don't make one for the jackpot with tapered bars. He said the one that I have is the right one minus an additional part, which he said he would send me in the mail to make the current one work. It is the round bar to keep it from rotating down. It has an offset in it to clear the brake light switch. On tapered bars, the only fix is to drill another hole behind the current hole to keep the switch houseing from turning. Thanks for the help guys John

That is a discontinued number and part. They are working on an extra rod to make it fit some of the victory models. They are supposed to send me a rod and then mine should work.

Witchdoctor makes a friction lock that replaces the bottom of your throttle switch housing. I have one and love it. Very discreet and comes in black or chrome.
