So I have become interested in the bigger front wheel. Slightly bigger, not a 30" crazy wheel.

There have become many choices in how to do this. What advice does this group have to offer?

I have heard good things about the Kewl Metal set up. I know HMD makes good stuff. Maybe some opinions from those who don't make the products would be helpful.

I have always loved to ride hard and in the canyons but since moving to NW Florida, lets just say there are fewer turns that there were in So Cal.

Any advice or opinions are welcomed.

Thanks.

I think anything over 21" I would rake out the front a little. Keep the trail where it should be. Riding one with 21" and lowered in the back felt very little different and stable.

P.S. there are a lot of curves in Florida. Just go to the beach!

A lot of it is how you want the bike to look. Ness and a few others offer 6* trees for a 23" wheel, giving the wheel a more tucked in look. HMD and some others offer 10* trees with their kit, which gives the bike a little bit of a stretched look...Lots of options...Kewl Metal also sells the upper frame rake kit and trees as well...

Judging from the vids I've seen the Vic rides, and looks sweet with a big wheel...

Every rake kit has different characteristics. I would do your research and ask those who have the kits you are interested in and see what you hear? Then make your decision for what best suits your needs. There is a link below to BWVB.. this site is dedicated to the Big Wheel Scene for Victorys. Try asking some of the people on the BWVB site. Hope this helps. If you have any questions you can email me.

I have a 23" with ness trees. Lowered 2 inches, rides and handles like stock.

I prefer the Kewlmetal for its high speed characteristics, and aestetics. The smooth top, and fat fork tubes give the bike a more finished, and balanced look. Rode a HMD raked bike last weekend. I have to give it a small edge at low speed maneuverability; based on is further travel lock to lock

fat tubes are definitely a good look

I have the Vicbaggers trees which are 6 degrees more than stock. I LOVE the look and ride. I haven't lowered it since I didn't want to lose any cornering clearance. With the slightly higher front axle line, I get MORE ground clearance. I don't have the dreaded "wheel flop" that those that don't actually own one claim occurs. At low speed it feels less tippy than stock, and it RAILS through turns.

Here are a couple of videos showing you how stable and easy this bike maneuvers.
NO wobbles.... NO giro... NO heavy feeling... NO light pointing up at the sky. Rides like factory.

That is one stunning looking motorcycle. Looks like it goes well too!
