I just received my electronic copy of the August Cycle World and they compared Harley-Davidson's Street Glide to Victory's Cross Country and Yamaha's Stratoliner.
To cut to the chase, the Street Glide edged out the Cross Country for first place and the Stratoliner came in third.
To be fair, the review seemed to take into consideration many aspects of these bikes and while the Cross Country came in second place, it seemed to be a well-rounded, straight forward comparison.
The Cross Country arrived with $4,500 worth of options...many of which were removed for the tests.
While I've never been a big fan of magazine reviews (I prefer rider reviews), this one is one of the better written/researched reviews I've seen...although I don't necessarily agree with the outcome.
Some of the points of comparison used in this article are:
Engine Size/HP/Torque/Power as well as the smoothness of each engine.
Transmission
Weight/Length
Maneuverability
Riding/Bar Position
Storage
Stability/Handling/Cornering
Comfort
Wind Protection/Buffeting
Audio Entertainment
