Have a question. When I do a search on the forum for lowers, it bring's up pictures of Arlen Ness (CC4) lowers. I've searched on the net for these and can't find them anywhere. Would love to find out where I can get them, and if anyone has them, do ya like them ? Taking my XC in tomorrow for it's 500 mile break-in service, then hit the road and ride, going to be 72* here in Colorado....

You can make your own lowers that perform just as good if not better for 1/3 the cost. You just need the right fork tube brackets from Memphis Shades and the DIY template to cut the plastic.

Jeep: You can download a PDF-version of the Ness catalog from the homepage of their website: www.arlenness.com The Victory section begins on page 159 of the PDF and the lowers are on page 164. Biken: I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but the Ness folks don't have anything against the X bikes. From what I understand, the new catalog had been in the works for just about as long as the X bikes have been on the market. The Ness empire was essentially built over 40 years ago from a single, typewritten page of parts that Arlen sold. If I had to guess, I'd say there's probably a certain old-school "affection" for the printed page that supercedes the web page. Since all of the parts offered for the X bikes are in the catalog, and the catalog is downloadable from the website, they likely decided not to duplicate the effort.

Didn't know they had downloadable catalog on their site and I've been there many times. I guess I'm easily aggravated but why have any bikes on their site with that analogy??

Here's the Catalog [link='http://bikesales.arlenness.com/2011-Arlen-Ness-Catalog.pdf']http://bikesales.arlenness.com/2011-Arlen-Ness-Catalog.pdf[/link]

I'm not speaking for anyone in particular, but even those who are not enchanted by the WWW can appreciate the necessity of having a presence there. However, it does not follow that necessity translates into priority. I can tell you that the organization has no webmaster on staff and they've chosen to limit the resources they're willing to expend on the website at this time.

I have them in my online store. http://ccupowersports.com/ccustore/. I just sold my stock but I have another shipment coming in by Tuesday the latest. I have some pics on the site and am waiting for some to be sent from my customers. I also have them on sale. I send them out the next business day from when I receive them or the order, if in stock.

I just had them installed along with the Ness flip sheild... Is it possible for them to work to good? Now I have absolutely no buffetting but I have no air in my face either :-(
That's good to hear. I ordered the Ness Lowers, but decided to wait on the windshield. I figured that if the lowers make a really big difference, I might be able to get away with a shorter shield (if not, go with the CC Bailey). Would you mind telling me how tall you are? Thanks, Rocky
