I'm heading to Spirit Lake from Thunder Bay on the 17th August, for the American Victory Rally 2012 - Aug 16/17.... anyone heading that way from T-bay? Bob, While in London last week, I brought up Spirit Lake's VRA since it looks like Bancroft is a no go this year, there was quite a bit of interest shown for this, from our members. Wayne for one, myself and others are considering it, one of those destination things on my Bucket List. LOL Should have been brought up during our Round Table Discussions Friday night at Bob's place, I know he is also interested. I'll start this Thread over to the main forum tomorrow where more will see it. By the way there is one already started there. The majority of the event's take place in Arnolds Park. The park nestles up to lake Okoboji. July 15th to 20th Bobbyg - so Spirit Lake is a go. Room is booked! Econo Lodge (part of Choice Hotels).. www.choicehotels.com in Spencer I.A.. about 18 miles from Arnold Park. Got decent rate by pre-paying/non cancellable reservation. link to choice hotels is also on the vmc.com but according to Choice - they dont have thevmc as a group with a discount code - and if they did, it wouldnt be any better than the advance/book/pay rate. That part of the discussion was done live with two different Choice booking agents)

My wife and I will be there. Our local riding group will have a tent next to the victory tent. Just look for the vmc tent. I think we will have t-shirts for sale. Our group name is central iowa victory riders. Hope to see you all there. John from the civr.
