I hope you inspire others to tackle bigger jobs on their bikes. With the pictures you've posted it shows how easy these bikes are to work on. I'm going to have to try and post some of my own.Getting ready to split the cases on a 2013 106" . The only special tool needed is a case splitter. You can buy one from Tusk tools for $75.
Except for the electrics the Vic motor is incredibly simple. I'm not good at electrical issues.

Yes I really can't believe how easy it has been working on this! As long as you have the scaffolding and a lift, the engine swap is very easy. Good luck with your case splitting! I would probably split the cases on my old motor but I am giving the old motor to the guy helping me with the motor swap. I'm keeping the stator and the clutch out of the old motor and giving him the rest. He has four victories so he can use the parts.
