cruised along at 50-55 in 6th which lands me around 2000-2300
My vic is more efficient in 5th @ that speed rpm, even better @ 50 mph in 4th oddly, I get the best mpg’s around 2750 rpm’s no matter speed or gear but I have had moments ( am sure everyone has / does ) where your below that, is no 1 & only rule but more of an overall rule we say because Vic’s would rather stay in the meat of the revs all day everyday than for someone to try n ride them like a metric bike & destroy the motor through lugging it. Is just too many variables / circumstances to explain to new vic owners so we collectively try n follow the nothing under 2500 rule.

I thought it seemed high too but that's what the dyno sheets say... Not a clue what was used to tune the bike. They say it was tuned "at the ECU level" and there is no permanently mounted tuner on the bike.
Slickvic how much of an improvement was the UD pulley for you? Was it like doing cams all over again?

Yea if I'm cruising in twists and small hills and such I'll usually run above 2500 but for just cruising along on a flat road above 50mph I'll usually still be in 6th.

Lugging is definitely not just defined by RPMs is all I was trying to point out. It's a variable for sure can be considered the trigger point I guess. I've owned V-twins pretty much my whole adult life and it's never been an issue.

Yea likely a Maximus tune then....

Here's a crappy cell phone pic of the dyno sheets showing the re-tune after the new fuel pump. View attachment 644077
Jesus! Well over 100ft/lbs at 2000 RPMs to boot......

Nasty.... makes me want to get 505s but I've never seen the 505s come on that quick is other Dyno sheets, it's always been the 413s that come on the soonest.

I don't think you ever answered this earlier...... what exhaust are you running? Lloyd's Air filter?

My setup now is 505 cams, Lloydz air filter, and Ragin Cajun DDT exhaust. I can't say enough about that exhaust. Even guys that don't own motorcycles tell me it sounds great. My reason for choosing the 505 cams was that I've heard multiple people say they tend to work better with more open exhaust and the DDT's by Ragin Cajun are just that.

I've never seen 505's make those numbers. A dyno is a tool. Have seen some very nice numbers and some very stingy numbers. XC bike A has your standard Lloydz upgrades putting out 115/115 numbers. XC bike B 1000 miles away, same mods, different dyno and tuner putting out 110/115 numbers or worse,,,,or higher. As long as the AF is correct, all that matters.

I don't know what my numbers are. Took it to Noe and left it in his hands, not even sure which cams I have. But, I know I spanked a Porsche that challenged me. By the time I had six to eight lengths on him he shut it down.
Can lift the front wheel off of the ground on a CCT in a shift from first to second with just a slightly stiffer suspension, but basicly stock and "soft". Not a wheelie, but it shows a little daylight. All I really need to know. Oh, that and she runs perfect and smooth getting very reasonable mileage not too far from before. Assuming a reasonable throttle hand. Starts with a touch. Doesn't backfire.

If I wanted to spend all my time at the strip and seconds and inches counted, then I would care about numbers. I just want to ride a reliable and powerful enough bike, and I've got that.
Not to say that numbers aren't interesting, but so many factors : day, weather conditions, temperature, tuner, the machine itself, that "real" numbers are impossible to nail down. Relative numbers, but what does that really mean. For me, it just lets me know where I am "in the ball park".
Just a quick and cursory math check says that an average automobile (3600 lbs) needs about 450 HP and 460TQ to the rear wheels to match my Vic power to weight. Not too worried.

That’s what you want

Yes they do, I have the matuza that’s an open spiral honey combed. The udp would help the torque get the bike moving, I want one
