Since I bought this Indian I’ve been wondering if this could run with a Victory. Being as I owned a victory and ran with all Harley’s out running a Harley was never an issue CVO or not. So I’m heading home about 90 miles out and I’m putting on my Chapstick and some guy on a Victory cross country just comes Blowin by me on a two-lane of twisties. And I thought OK I’ll play. So I catch him and it’s game on for the 90 miles of two lane and interstate. I’m thinking he was bone stock just like me or he could have out pulled me. We were both in it pretty good up to 115+ at times. He couldn’t out pull me and I couldn’t out pull him in the straits we were so evenly matched it was crazy. Anyway I’m not wondering anymore. Would it be different off the line ? Hhmmmmm I don’t know about that yet ;) I know I’m getting too old for this nonsense right !

@NY mike ...NOT OLD...I tell all I'm 72 and act 35...wanna see the 35 year old...keep up with me...on either of my VICTORIES:devil3:

Yeah Mike …. Never old in our minds…..Man I hit the throttle even when there’s no one around to ride with. Just watch those over 100 mph sprints brother. Those are the ones that get you in trouble.

@NY mike , do you get a chance to talk to him? Was he stock? He was a 106 and you are a Thunderstrocke 111?
Curious minds want to know.

Ride safe,

Mike said in his post it took 90 miles to hit 115 mph. So yep there's you answer on the power of the 111. The Vic was behind him the whole way but never got out of 3rd gear and didn't want to pass because the Indian helped to reduce wind Buffeting. I'm glad Mike had fun though. I look forward to those kinds rides as well but try to maintain a slight degree of control …….so I don't over heat my oil.

Exactly how I wrecked 3 different times. I'm not that Tuff anymore can't take the pain !:D
I'm just a little more careful picking my spots these days.
Fortunately I live in a town with 3 stoplights, I can be out in the countryside and can choose either one stoplight or one stop sign and I'm out of town. Mostly deserted two lane roads, no traffic no cops.
Can idle along at 60 or wind 'er up.
All three bad crashes I've had over the years were middle aged ladies turning into me or left in front of me in town. Don't know what I did to piss 'em off but it must have been bad from their perspective.

No we never spoke I was suprised he was rolling as far as me which really made it amusing. I could have gotten him on the 2 lanes but that was due to I know that well very well or maybe just a bit more experience. In both directions I've covered it over 300 x easily. I let him set the pace and he was trying hard believe me lol Other then exhaust and apes appeared bone stock. In the straight we both poured it on but couldn't get away from each other one bit

Which 2 lane @NY mike ? Guessing Yarnell and back road to Prescott? Or Vulture Mine Road?

Would think the stock 108 Challenger at 122HP would but a little distance on a stock 106 with only 97 HP? I've ridden the Challenger and found it pretty snappy.

NY Mike is not on a Challenger. He's on a Chieftain with the 111" (or maybe the 116"?). He was running against a Vic 106

The Challenger is more Vic like than the Indian Chieftain. Both are great bikes. Having ridden both I’d love to see the PP108 in the Chieftain frame.
