I just finished removing the fenders and gas tank. Monday I'll take them to get painted. I don't know what color yet, but I was going to get some ideas from my guy painting it. He's the expert, so I figured I'll take his guidance. Quick question for y'all though. Remove the belt guard and paint it too? I figured it wouldn't hurt to leave it black since the frame, pipes, handlebars etc are black. What are your thoughts?

Looks good! On the flashlight kick, I have a 3 year old Fenix LD22, LED powered by 2 AAs, I am a night shift mechanic and use the crap out of this thing every night pretty much all night and it is a great light. I get it oily, greasy, abuse the crap out of it and it just keeps on going. For having just AA power it lasts 3+weeks.
...and it was somewhere around $40
I would let that paint set up really good before sticking any tank badge on it of course it looks great without it...

Well, he says it won't fully cure until 6 months, and don't apply wax for 3 months. You think I should wait 3 months for the tank badge?

Thanks for the compliment. $1300. It's not inexpensive, but from what I've been looking at, it's middle of the pack price wise, however I don't feel the work done was middle of the pack. It is exceptional.

Hell man, I wouldn't put a badge on her... that's like gilding the lily. I never really liked the badges vic has stock on their bikes.. although some of the aftermarket ones that look like script are cool. Seriously tho, with paint that perty why cover it up? Fook 'em if they don't know what it is with those cheese wedges.

It's not victory paint, but it does look very close. I'd say just by going off that pic, mine is a little darker. I told him kona blue because I had a 2012 mustang that I had to get rid of that I regret selling. It was kona blue and I remember I couldn't walk from the car to the grocery store without looking back at it a half dozen times. Love that color.

I hope to have one parked in the garage beside my Victory someday. I go to the MidAmerica Ford and Shelby meet in Tulsa Oklahoma every couple of years and drool for a few days. Someday I hope to drive my own Mustang in and join the crowd rather than just being a spectator.
