I missed this. Sorry. You know I wouldn't pass you up robsvision. No. It's not my road master. It's my dad's (stepdad, other dad has a road King). I keep it garaged there (and my wife's scout) until my jay Leno garage comes to fruition. Indian makes a hell of a bike, but here I am on the ol Vic site. Actions speak volumes in my opinion.

As for paint. I have a really good guy that has been doing it for years. I'm confident he's among the best if not the best in the region. When I visit, there is an abundance of rarities getting work done there. Really nothing but $100k plus cars from what be seen. Classics and muscle. This guy is legit so I'd feel comfortable saying just do your thing. If anyone wants their bike done in the north or northeast, send me a pm. This guy is cool as hell and has great taste. I should add this disclaimer though. He's a Harley guy.
It's Mikes Garage.....
And it looks great with all those top of the line bikes.....

Can't wait to see what your painter does.

I have more flashlights than brain cells. Being a LEO on night shift for 11 years you get a collection as you keep upgradin to the latest and greatest. Currently I'm running two ASP lights, one is none. The ASP Turbo USB and its lil brother. Both are rechargeable and use a micro USB, which is super convenient since my phone does too. They can also run on CR123A barriers as well which again is super handy in my line of work. They are single mode but I prefer that for work. I have several multi function lights but I hate being under stress and trying to operate it, my holster, pistol, finger, mouth, and brain. They are also in a great price range and come with a really nice zip pouch with home and car charges with a retractable charging cord. I picked them up on Amazon.

I would add a link but I can't find the USB Turbo model I have. It's a bit over 600 lumens but all I'm finding is the 300 lumen regular model. Strange. :-/
Well with your line of work you deserve to have as many of the brightest bad asss flashlights as you want......
Stay safe out there.

Nice! Nothing but respect for leos. Stay safe out there. Have you ever found yourself In a bind when you forgot to charge your flashlight? Personally I don't need to use mine in a seconds notice, so I would need to weigh my feelings on if I feel it's charged or if the battery is almost dead and do I have a spare. I'm not the best at keeping my phone charged, but I'm also not the best at keeping charged or spare batteries. Don't know what I'd be more comfortable with, also your view on single mode importance makes sense for your line of work. Thanks for the feedback.
In the past I have had them die during my shift. The ones I have now last much longer and are much better in both size and power.

I used to use a Streamlight TLR1 on my pistol bit during the winter the switch would stick. It's a bad feeling to pull your weapon and find your light dead. I switched to the Surefire X300 and currently have the X300 Ultra. They have never failed me and you can not go wrong running one. They are all I recommend for a duth pistol light. I also added the XS Sights window breaker, that thing is AWESOME!!!

Even though the lights last I'm religious about charging them and my radio. I feel is needed since my life may depend on it.

Thanks. I have a feeling it'll be a while though. I'll hopefully drop the parts off Monday (I say hopefully because although I plan on it, nothing's a given in my line of work. I Went in today for a couple hours on my day off. Not complaining, just saying I never make definitive plans anymore) and I don't expect them done for a while. If they're painted by the end of the week... AWSOME! But I haven't had anything go according to plan for a very long time so expect pics sometime mid 2019. :fie:

There's a lot your painter can do using the existing black a base coat ( color ). You can use house of colours candle apple green over the black. To get a dark candy green and use a lighter base like silver or white to get the 2 tone effect. I like the candy reds myself but you mentioned the green and it would be really sharp IMO

I think you're right. But I'm pretty dumb when it comes to paint. Can he remove the clear coat and apply a new better one? This thing has swirls up the ying yang and I've no clue how they got there, but I'm sure it's the soft clear coat others mention. There's also a pretty unsighly ding in the rear fender that needs touching up.

I had pipes, s&s and vfc all installed at a dealer (that I no longer use) and said go ahead and throw this mustang seat driver and passenger on while you're at it. So I took it home and after a few months, decided to take the passenger seat off when the wife got her scout. I really enjoy the solo look. So I found a nice little surprise waiting for me under the rear seat. A nice big fat ding that someone probably dropped something on.

I know I will most likely never have the spare coin to get the paint job I would want for my bike. I have a few Ideas of how I would like to go but again just a dream =P
I love that my bike is an 8ball. I would love to have some faces blended in, as to look like they are trying to escape the black. and somehow work in the Egyptian god Anubis.
I would like a 2 tone also but haven't seen to many I like. I would want it to really accent the shapeliness of the bike without being to much.

You get one? I hadn't seen it yet. I wonder if its the real deal. I have a light that is 1250 lumens and its almost to bright for most task. I keep it in my bag as a search light for work.

I just might have to try it.
No I just came across it. Thought of you. I would order it in a heart beat, but my wife doesn't understand the need for more flashlights....... LoL...

I was just searching around and found it being discussed on some different forums. From what they said it is basically a scam. The few that actually tried it had it break or not work as advertised. Figures.

Figures..
I am in the process of building a 100 watt 8000 lumens flashlight.
I have the 100 watt LED, the focused lens, the heat sink and current control board. I have a small 12v booster pack for power. Should be one ugly flashlight. Got the idea from YouTube ...

I just finished removing the fenders and gas tank. Monday I'll take them to get painted. I don't know what color yet, but I was going to get some ideas from my guy painting it. He's the expert, so I figured I'll take his guidance. Quick question for y'all though. Remove the belt guard and paint it too? I figured it wouldn't hurt to leave it black since the frame, pipes, handlebars etc are black. What are your thoughts?

Yep. Leave it black.

Just to get back to paint. The paint job my wife had done on her nomad. It was all together, but she passed before she got to go for a ride. View attachment 12852
Hey, you should be proud of us. We went from paint to flashlights...not oil or tires. That's progress on the VOG!!!
