I had it on my KP but for the money I prefer paying for Pandora on my phone like I do now on my Vision.

The sat radio is better than regular FM but they still have commericals and I didn't think it was worth the cost.Paid Pandora is much cheaper and truly commercial free.

XM will work pretty much anywhere though so if you do a lot of riding in areas without cell service it may be your best choice.

I carry along a tiny mp3 player just in case I don't have cell service but as of yet I have not needed it riding around Texas.

I have it on my XC, and I love it, probably one of the best additions I've put on so far. I live in North Dakota, so we don't have a lot of regular stations to listen to. XM is a great option.
The install is very easy to do. The instructions say to take the front fairing completely off, but I installed mine with only taking out the headlight.
The way the system integrates with the handlebar controls and display is seamless and really convenient.

I'm VERY happy with mine. I was using Pandora for a while and was getting too close to maxing my data account. I also had issues when riding in remote areas with no cell service. I will not ride without SAT Radio from now on. Install was a piece of cake. I can have the front faring off in about 5 minutes.
I am thinking about getting a Gamin 665 with XM and selling my existing SAT unit,OR getting a 660 and keeping what I have........

I've had Sirius radio since 2007 on my previous Goldwing and currently in my truck. Costs about 50 cents/day for no commercials. I never transferred it to the CC Tour. I'm happy with the iPod I use. It really depends on how much you'll listen to it. Can you ride yearlong? If yes, go for it. If it's parked a few months (6 for me), you'll be paying for nothing in return.

I could have sat radio on the bike, truck, and wifes car but that would cost way to much IMO. Using Pandora I can use my phone in all three for the same low fee plus take it with me anywhere. For $30 a year and my good cell service I can complain but I did enjoy having sat radio when I had it.

You can do a seasonal shut off on xm subscriptions. I do this on my XC, because it sits for 5 months during the winter. They suspend your service until you have them turn it back on, and your payment pauses until you start again. Basically, paying for a year long subscription will last two riding years. Plus, they don't charge a fee for turning on or off the signal. (I was shocked when I learned that part!)
