I live a short distance from Helen but I hate even driving through that place unless it's during the winter and most of the people have gone.

Paul and I usually do Maggie Valley around that time with a group on another forum. But maybe we could change things up this year. It is maybe an hour closer for us in North Alabama. Hmmm. Will look into it.

A side note- We also host a Heart of Dixie tour which includes optional camping at our place, fishing, shooting, bonfire, wrenching, tour of our shop, custom parts discussion/installation, and riding a mix of Trail of Tears, Barber Motorsports Museum, Talledega, Mt. Cheaha, and sometimes have worked in an afternoon at the lake house or a casino. Might look into that for a future mini gathering option for those nearby.

But I'll follow this thread closely and possibly join you all in Helen, GA this June. Hope to shake the hands of those I talk to on here.

As always, Conquest Customs will be there Personally its my favorite rally of the year!!! Great riding, great bikes and great people!

I hope to know if I can make it by early January. Made it the last two years, and hope to make it three in a row. Depends on where work sends me. Love the riding in that area. If I'm still able to make it I'm taking the whole week off this year and hitting surrounding areas the early part of the week and then the rally starting on Wednesday.

Taking the WHOLE week is the best way to do it! We normally arrive tuesday night and its a blast all the way through sunday.

I want to go again this year, but i'm being transferred to Maryland about a week after the Rally, so money might be too tight to make it this year.

I have never been but I hear this is the best one. I lover the mountains down there. Have been to the dragon and other places so i figure this will be a great place to got to a rally.

Unfortunetly i am not going to make it. Sick family member will keep me close to home this year. Maybe I will make it in 2017.

I might be in Helen today. A good friend is up from Fla. for the ZRX rally in Suches and he wants to go to Helen. I hate that place but I guess I can stand one day of it. Why anyone would come from a city and then end up in Helen I will never know. So many beautiful places to see and to ride to in the mountains. We are in a three state area that offers some of the most scenic rides ever. Tomorrow Deb and I are riding across the Cherohala Skyway. Where it will be nice and cool.
