I am really wrestling between these two exhausts. The TCs have a different look but the sound is so perfect. Cost around $518 to $576. No extra tips to purchase. The WD HP sound good (maybe a little tinnier -is that a word? LOL) and costs less but gonna need extra tips as don't think the stock tips would look good with the little pipe showing at the end. This brings the price above the TCs. Really don't know if one is better than the other for performance gains.

Decisions decisions.

Glad your happy. Post some pics or an audio clip would be great. Im still in the planning stage myself. I have been leaning to the WD Baffled Muscle Muffler.

Neither. Unless you've got a 110/116, different pipes are for sound only. You might gain (or lose) a couple hp but nothing you'd feel. If you can't modify your own pipes, buy Witchdoctors.

I guess youmissed the part where the OP got the pipes. He is past suggestion time.

Can you put the original heat shields on with the Thunder Cones? To me they sound better than Witch Doctors. But all the pictures I have seen do not show the factory heat shields and I don't like the look without them.

Here are a couple. One wasn't originally meant as a TC audio clip, but showcases nicely how deep it is and how you can speak around the sound. Kg

You sure can but you will need make some adapters to go from the smaller OD of the new pipes to the larger heat shields, If you can't make them, get a hold of me I can help you out there.
Haven't bought anything yet but I appreciate the gesture and if I do I will take you up on it. Have you got pictures and video. I watched a video but it was in a Dyno trailer and in my opinion hard to tell what they will sound like out in the open.

Hey, I posted this in another thread on here but thought it might be better suited for this thread. I just added the Thundercones to my 2011 XC a week or so ago. My bike was completely stock prior to this upgrade so it's definately an improvement. I was tired of all my Harley buddies telling me I had an electric motorcycle. I was looking for that deep throaty rumble and I definately got it with these pipes. I purchased the pipes from Lloydz Motorworks in addition to their Adjustable Timing Wheel, Air Filter, and a PCV. I added this video to Youtube thinking it might help someone make that tough decision on what exhaust to purchase. Lots of $$$'s to spend on something that you don't always get the chance to hear in person.

I just took my vic performance pipes level 2, baffles out. coupled it with k&n filter and a power commander 5. then dyno'd it. got 92 h.p. and 98 ft.lbs torque. they really sound good and different. almost like a loud british sports car,has a brassy sound to it. strong sound, gets attention, so as to not have to be worried about getting run over quite so much. idiots on parade out there, and on cell phones to boot!

DON'T LEAVE THE OLE-CHAP HANGIN'!

I'd like to know too!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I heard Detrax was the one to talk to about getting spacers for stock heat shields to fit on the Thunder Cones. He wouldn't help me. But try your luck. Thunder Cones sound nice. Didn't like the look without the old heat shields. So if you find out something, let me know

I thought the Vision came stock with 92 hp. That is what it says in the specs anyway.
